She is very pushy on things that will benefit her pay. She is very judgmental. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes which was very well controlled along with my weight. Based on my last ultra sound baby was measuring bigger than 8lbs which could be off since this number is based on so many factors . Her automatic decision was to give me a C section after I expressed that’s not what I want to go with first. She even said to me the baby will die if I don’t do C section. This is my second pregnancy and with my first one my daughter was born less then 7lbs also had gestational diabetes and so what if the baby is over 8lbs women body is meant to push and do everything natural if possible.. she would not hear what I have to say and she sells c section like candy, cesarian should be last resort if there is no other high risk associated with this. She made me very anxious and fearful about labor as well as stressed. I am thinking about suing- worst thing to do to a patient at 38weeks

I've been seeing Dr. Bettencourt for 6 plus years now. I'm 63. She's professional, attentive, kind and caring. She performs my yearly exams with such respect, and she's a wonderful listener. I couldn't be happier.

Dr. Bettencourt is a very thorough, caring professional who takes the time to ask important questions, run the appropriate tests, and offer suggestions/encouragement when I was worried throughout my pregnancy. I would wholeheartedly recommend her and the team of doctors she works with! They are excellent!!

She has been nothing but great since I switched doctors. Always takes the time to explain everything and what the options are.

When I was 15/16 yrs old I had painful periods. My mom suggested birth control, but Dr. B insisted on doing a pelvic exam first. I was a victim of childhood abuse and had never even used a tampon before. Dr. B mocked me for telling her that I was experiencing pain, and even asked me "do you do drama?" to make fun of me for being "dramatic." She painfully, traumatically examined me. I was later diagnosed with vaginismus by a much more understanding Dr.

I've only seen her once, but she is definitely one of the best doctors I have ever seen (any field). Probably in my top 3 in general and #1 for OB-GYN. I do tend to worry about my health and read internet resources so I always end up having a lot of questions for the doctor. She is sharp, listens, and I felt she showed respect for my concerns without pushing anything other than what I think are 'middle of the road' approaches. Also, the front desk administrator was approachable and professional.

She is pushy for certain birth control, she does not explain any details of different birth controls nor of any other issue even when you ask. She has generic phrases and responses to everything. Her exams are the most uncomfortable I've ever experienced and I've been seen before by two other gynos. She makes everything feel rushed and poorly explained. She does not listen well to your concerns or questions.
