She is My current Ob & absolutely will not put me on disability 4 weeks before my 40 wks edd I’m worried because I travel 30 minutes 1 way to work, and have a history of 5 previous pregnancies of going into labor between 34-37 weeks My previous Dr who is now retired put me on disability at 33 weeks, taking my history into consideration knowing I’ll deliver at 37 weeks or sooner My current Ob is refusing to put me on leave before 36 weeks Even tho she did acknowledge I will probably deliver at 36-37 weeks for this 6th pregnancy as well

No sensitivity training
I saw Dr. Enderton following a missed miscarriage. I was waiting for it to happen still and finding out what options I had medically, and naturally. While I do give her credit for providing information she should not be working with women who have had a miscarriage. She offered no compassion and used the term 'this is my bread an butter' referring to early pregnancy loss. I guess she was trying to convey her experience and expertise, but what an insensitive and gross way of wording it to someone going through a difficult loss. Maybe she is unaware that the phrase means ' This is where I make my money', and to tell that to someone who is going through a miscarriage is pretty disgusting to say- your tragedy is money in my pocket. I saw other doctors outside of adventist, before this one, regarding my miscarriage; and a very old male OB was so kind and apologetic for my loss and explained I had done nothing wrong. Not sure why she didn't think I deserved that kindness from her.

Not a positive experience, do not recommend
I was told my pregnancy was not viable based on 1 HCG blood test, because my numbers (which did rise) did not “double” within 48hrs and that it would eventually plateau and I would miscarry. I was offered to come into the office to take the pill the following week since it wasn’t the “news” I was expecting. I asked to take the weekend to think about it, and the following week called the office to request a repeat blood test and ultrasound before taking drastic measures, and I was told the Doc did not want to order additional testing at this time and see me that week for “SAB” spontaneous abortion. I am fortunate to have medical colleagues and family that urged me to get a second opinion- my numbers had quadrupled by the following week and the ultrasound confirmed a gestational sac w heartbeat. I have since seen 2 other OBGYNs both of whom have confirmed a healthy and viable pregnancy. I am 15 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. Truly hope no one else has to endure this emotional turmoil.
