Dr. Elizabeth Fourcade, MD

I have only seen Dr Fourcade once so far, through video appointment, but I'm very happy with with her level of care. She was very thorough both in her line of questions and explanations, and while she didn't go with the treatment plan I'd expected I understand her reasoning and agree that it makes sense to do what she's suggesting. I left the appointment feeling well understood, reassured, and hopeful and look forward to feeling better.

Highly Recommend

Very inexperienced. Uses one size fits all approach to medication and is very resistant to thinking outside the box or taking patient past experience into account.

Seek care elsewhere. I'm not sure why she is so full of herself but this is the worst care I've ever received. She made recommendations about my other medical conditions that she didn't treat. She repeatedly tried to take me off medications that she didn't prescribe. She withheld care because I would not get off of medications that other doctor's prescribed, even though there were no contraindications. Her record-keeping was not just poor, it was flat out wrong. She bullied me into getting off medications before she would prescribe anything for a specific condition. Some of her treatment recommendations were nonsensical. For example, I'm on a very fixed income, but she recommended a very expensive OCD treatment program. She also recommended an 8 hours a day, 5 day a week, out patient program far from my home, even though it was something physically I could not attend. She is a bully, has the compassion of Nurse Rachett, and should not be dealing with patients.

I know it can be difficult to schedule with a psychiatrist but please do yourself a favor and avoid this one. I wish I would have looked up her reviews before seeing her.

Be glad she saw you at all!!!!! Whom ever monitors this “profession “needs to take a closer look at this lady! Mental illness is a huge problem because of her and people like her who are just in it for a paycheck

Wouldn’t recommend to anyone

I am in desperate need of a physiatrist thought I found someone who could adjust the meds I take to function each day- first impression wasn’t much- second visit I was left sitting for 40 minutes past my appointment time with no one around! I left and promptly called to leave a message to tell them what I thought next thing I know Dr Fourcade discharges me and says I need HOSPITAL treatment!!! Stay away if I could give her NO stars I would!!!!! Unprofessional and uncaring!

This doctor discriminates against tattoos and piercings BEWARE. I walked into her office with purple hair and tattoos summer 2018- as we were talking she never made eye contact with me, only looked me up and down on my arms where I have tattoos. When I was finished speaking about my Mental well-being and the progress I have made, she appeared to have not been listening at all. The first time I met doctor Fourcade I told her she was strict but nice. She laughed and said that sounded about right. It is really true. She prescribes my meds, but we also talk a lot about boundaries and coping skills. I had wanted to move out of my parents house before I met her, because I knew that we had problems in our relationship, but I kept getting sucked back in. I finally moved out last month with her help. I have better boundaries with my parents and I am happier now.

I was discharged from the hospital and set up with an appointment with Dr. Fourcade. I didnt know anything about her. She saved my life. I was still suicidal when I met her but she helped me find the right meds and she was so kind to me. I am doing so much better now and I want her to always be my doctor

This was my first ever bad experience with a doctor. I went to Dr. Fourcade to get help managing my anxiety, but instead was left feeling frustrated and misunderstood. She has a huge ego. She misinterpreted my reservations about taking multiple medications as questioning her competency. I skipped a day of my medication due to some side effects and wanting to talk to Dr. Fourcade before continuing. This led to her telling me I need to find another Doctor. Very unprofessional experience.
