Respect for Mental Health
Body positive, health forward, doesn't discount age or weight as the cause of all issues. It took multiple medications before we found what worked, but she believed me and helped me to function through it. When my insurance wouldn't cover a medication her team helped me find the cheapest pharmacy. When one doctor told me my weight was the cause of my hernia, she sat down and explained that weight loss would not actually fix it. That even if I lost the weight the surgeon said to lose, I'd still need the repair surgery. I'm a whole person to this doctor, not just one part.
