Dr. Elizabeth Knapp, MD

We brought in our daughter for a skin infection when her regular pediatrician's office was closed because we wanted to make sure she was seen in a timely fashion. Instead of receiving compassionate care, Dr. Knapp made CPS report. This report was immediately closed after the CPS team attributed it to cleaning chemicals at our daughter's school, however the aftermath of having to deal with an investigation and following through with CPS to ensure the record was fully expunged has been extremely time consuming and traumatic. A simple call to our on call pediatrician when their office was closed would have avoided all of this. In addition, I have made several calls to ARC's practice manager and compliance dept and no one has followed up and made this right for us. We don't want anyone else to go through what we went through with Dr. Knapp or ARC.

She reported us to CPS for a routine skin rash for our daughter. AVOID this trigger-happy doctor, or you will also have to deal with hours of time and a full investigation to clear your name.

My child was born at 35 weeks and Dr Knapp rounded on us every day- I will say my child and I left the hospital in worse condition than we both entered it and I believe she is solely responsible. Within 4 hours of discharging a late preterm baby without any of the proper guidelines used (confirm she can eat 40 cc, isn't lethargic, has appropriate weight gain) we were at Dell Children's with an unresponsive baby who got admitted to the NICU for 4 days.
