Dr. Elizabeth Rizo-Medina, MD

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Rizo-Medina. From the beginning, she completely disregarded my pain and insisted that I wasn’t experiencing any issues, despite my persistent complaints. After weeks of arguing and repeatedly requesting a specific test, she continuously refused to order it. It wasn’t until I became visibly upset and refused to leave without the test being assigned that she finally relented.When the results came back, it confirmed that I had a major infection—the exact cause of the pain she had been dismissing all along. If I had listened to her and not pushed for the test, my condition could have worsened significantly.This kind of negligence is unacceptable for a medical professional. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone and strongly believe that she should not be allowed to continue practicing if this is how she treats her patients.

Do not go to this doctor with your concerns, she will dismiss your pain. She has little empathy for her patients and refuses to send you to specialists you need. I asked to be reffered to a gyno because I was worried about cysts that have been recurring in my uterus. She said I had bigger issues to worry about and did not give me the referral for months. I had to insist on every visit. She is neglectful. Do not come to her with serious issues. She also hears but does not listen. While I'm sure she's overworked and that can blur your mind, she simply does not listen to the details you give her and gets upset when she relays the wrong information to her team and they aren't able to complete her requests. Go somewhere else. I hope that the cysts I have are not malignant and have not progressed over the time that she neglected to send me to a gyno.

Today it was my first visit with Dr. Rizzo Medina. I was very impressed with the doctor's bedside manner. She did spend a considerable amount of time speaking with me in order to get my medical history. She did meet all my needs and made the appropriate referrals. In addition, the medical assistant, Sidolene (poor spelling on my part) was also superbe. I wish I could have her work at my clinic. The Chen Clinic in Aventura was excellent. It was very clean. I did appreciate, as any patient would appreciate, the small touches. For example, when he walked in the door there are some small edible treats for patients. When I left, they also had an excellent staff in order to make followup visits. I highly recommend this clinic.

This doctor is really nice and kind and also really thorough, plus she is a good listener. I would recommend her to my friends gladly.

Best Family Doctor I got after Dr. Virgilio Beato. She is excellent in diagnostics, follows the patient and listens. If I could I will give her the 5 stars!!!! I really regret to loose her after she departed to another medical center.
