Very abrupt! Did not allow me to finish asking questions or answer her questions before she asked another question. She took a call during my exam. Waited 50 minutes on second visit and just left.

Disrespectful
We brought my grandmother here because she’s been showing concerning signs of cognitive impairment. Office and nursing staff were lovely, however, Dr. Samuel was beyond disrespectful and condescending. She ignored our concerns, did not read our intake paperwork and lectured us the entire time, making us feel like terrible caregivers and did not take any of our concerns seriously. Dr. Samuel did not listen or seem to understand our situation and accused of us being impatient and giving poor care, while erroneously telling us we should get my grandmother home health (she doesn’t qualify) since we couldn’t provide the care. She also never provided a qualifying diagnosis for home health care, so it was really just an exercise in her affirming the delusions of a 93 year old woman while chastising her caretakers for 45 minutes. We will never return.

Doctor's behavior during exam was unprofessional, rude and insulting, demonstrating no real desire to diagnose problem. Appeared to have little interest in treating me. Poor communications of office staff with her resulted in the cancellation of my follow on diagnostic appointment with no attempt by her to reschedule.

After not being listened whatsoever, this provider told me everything was “in my head.” Technically, she is correct... parietal and left frontal lobes, to be precise. After dropping the ball, I went elsewhere and I now am getting an epilepsy workup after a very abnormal EEG. Avoid this provider. Please.

I can’t believe someone below said she was rude. She is easily the most compassionate, and least arrogant doctor I have. And generally speaking, neurologists have plenty of reasons to be arrogant. But I love Dr Samuel and always feel comforted knowing I’m in her hands.

This review is not about Dr. Samuel's ability as a doctor but about my insurance refusing to cover my claim because her office could not correctly submit my claim to my insurance company and she cost me over $1400. She includes a waiver in her paperwork that you sign saying that you are responsible for any balance not covered by insurance. She told me she would waive the $110 balance on my account and over a year later I received collection letters and finally just paid the balance.

Dr. Samuel is rude, dismissive, her staff is horrible, and she is OVER WORKED. She needs to get help. She needs to listen to her patients and show compassion. My daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy along with a pineal gland cyst. My daughter is showing all the signs of symptomatic- but has done nothing to address the concerns. stay away from this office. Period.

Dr. Samuel is the worst doctor I've ever gone to. She is RUDE and has no respect for her patients. I saw her late last year (in 2015). When I went back for a follow-up appointment, no one was in her office. Her entire staff walked out on her! And, she ran a test that was not necessary and not covered by my insurance AFTER telling me that it WAS covered. Now I am responsible for the entire charge -- which is close to $1,000. DO NOT GO TO HER -- if you do, you'll be very disappointed. :(

I attempted to schedule a new patient appointment, leaving messages over a period of three days. Never received a return phone call. Finally started calling over and over again until the receptionist answered the phone using a speakerphone. Everyone in a medical facility knows that a speakerphone is a HIPAA no-no and is just flat out rude. After arguing with me, I finally told the completely inept receptionist that she should go and tell Dr. Samuel she lost a new patient because of her.

I did not have a good experience with this doctor. She does not pay attention to your symptoms and is very defensive. She does not work with you about your concerns and never returns your calls. I called 3 times and to this day my call has not been returned. The lack of professionalism by her and her staff was very apparent. Two visits was all I could handle and will never go back. I would not recommend this doctor and felt like I wasted my money.

Dr. Samuel is amazing. Hands down the best MD I've ever seen. She took ample time to explain in detail everything, was very friendly and had great professionalism. She was very knowledgeable and generally cares about her patients. I wish more doctors were like her.
