Amazing Psychiatrist and Therapist!
I have been seeing Dr. Shelton for several years, she is a caring, compassionate, knowledgeable and an excellent listener! Her top priority is her patient and their mental health needs. I suffer from severe anxiety, panic attacks and depression and her recommendations for medications and other coping mechanisms have helped me more than I can express! If I ever have any questions or concerns, I contact her office and get a call back in the same day. I would recommend Dr. Shelton without hesitation!

Responsive and Attentive
I have been seeing Dr. Shelton for years now. I have major depressive disorder and ADD. She has always been very helpful and responsive to my concerns. It took a while to find the right combination of medications for me, but that's normal with treatment resistant MDD. I'm a very detail oriented person, and she has always been happy to explain the science behind things to me, as opposed to other experiences I've had where a doctor won't go into why we need to start at a certain dose or why we need to wait a bit longer to change something.

Uncaring
Receptionist is unhelpful. Doctor is cold and doesn’t care about you. Put me on the lowest possible dose of a medication that isn’t proven to help. Did not seem to grasp the severity of my symptoms. Was very quick to end our relationship when I was questioning their methods and policies. Very expensive.

Wasn’t treating me as aggressively as she should
So, in 2017, I had very serious depression. But even after I made a suicide attempt she still waited too long to change my medication even thought it was obvious it wasn’t going to work. I would recommend her if she would be more aggressive with treatment cause I was suffering and she didn’t seem to get with a treatment.

I have been with Dr. Shelton for approximately four years. She has gotten me through the most difficult times of my life from deep depression to wrestling with recovering from alcoholism. I would recommend her to anyone seeking a knowledgeable caring Dr.
