Dr. Elizabeth Small, MD

I have been seeing Dr Small who was the only doctor to diagnose my dry eye. My dry eye is resolved which I can never thank her enough. Dr Small is caring and professional. Staff is professional, listen to you.

Never had a chance to see her!!! Two appointments were made months in advance for my family and myself. They were both cancelled at the last minute. I had to scramble to find another ophthalmologist as my sun needed a prescription for contact lenses asap.

She did cataract surgery. She asked if I wanted perfect far vision. Since I read a lot, I told her I did not, I wanted to remain nearsighted. She decided to play God and she knew what I really wanted, and gave me perfect far vision. Now I have difficulty reading without magnifying glasses and cannot see small print without glasses which I could before.

Dr Small successfully removed my left eye cataract recently, without any complications whatsoever despite it being fairly large. Her post-surgery follow-up was excellent as well. I highly recommend Dr Small, not just for her knowledge & skill but also for her caring & kindness.

I will not be returning to Dr. Small’s office. I have MGD/Blepharitis type issues that require frequent visits/monitoring, as it is a chronic disorder. I found her to be quite dismissive and the office is always crazy busy / appt feels rushed. After doing much research, I do not get the feeling that she is somebody that is up to speed w/the most up-to-date treatment options and/or strategies in dealing w/this disorder. In addition,last week I called the office 4x in 3 days to request a refill of an antibiotic (which she prescribed and told me to continue taking). I wound up missing doses because they never called in the prescription. When I called to see what happened, the girl in the office simply said she was ‘busy with other patients yesterday’ and was ‘not in the office the next day’. The last time I called, I left a message w/Ashley asking for a return call from Dr. Small to discuss both this issue and my condition, which was not improving. I never did get a return call.

Dr. Small is a very personable, caring and excellent surgeon. I couldn't be more happy. Her office runs on time and her staff are efficient and helpful. The service and care is excellent.
