Rushed & Utterly Dismissive
Waited nearly an hour past my appointment time in an EMPTY waiting room. Despite my inquiries, staff didn't speak to me at all. The girl who took me back was fine, polite enough but not apologetic at all. Dr. Esses is NOT interested in your concerns, your history, your input. Dr. Esses is absolutely only about 'Spread it. Get it (sample). Get lost.' I'd hoped I'd caught them on a bad day. This is not the case. Portal communication is actually worse.

Dr. Esses and Heather Parrish are the BEST!
Dr. Esses and Heather Parrish are the absolute best and haven taken such great care and concern for me. I can't say enough good things about them and their professionalism. They truly care about their patients and take time to listen. They treat you like family!

Horrible.
She was very condescending and seems to form bias without actually asking questions and getting to know what is going on. She has a lack of bedside manner and lack of a professional duty to care for your concerns. Worst experience.

WOULDN’T RECOMMEND TO MY WORST ENEMY!! Apart from her general lack of of concern during regular pregnancy appointments, my postpartum care left me feeling stuck and alone. After eleven hours of labor and THREE epidurals, I was left in excruciating pain. Not only did Dr. Esses lower my pain medication dosage, claiming it was somehow incorrectly ordered (by her I might add), she also refused to speak to me regarding my discomfort. I waited from 10AM to 7PM to hear back from her on Day 1 of my recovery. During this time she was notified of my request to speak with her, stopped by the hospital to visit with other patients, and left telling the nurse she would see me the following morning. When her negligence was escalated to the hospital supervisor, a nurse reached out yet again on my behalf. Her response was to yell at the nurse for calling her at “8 at night for a non urgent matter”. She treats her patients worse than cattle putting in as little effort as possible to receive a paycheck.

She delivers my baby from an emergency c-section after being induced. When being transferred form the delivery room to the operation room- my IV somehow got disconnected and I went through a c-section with no pain meds. She was a cold-hearted and treated me like I was being a wimp. It was the most horrible experience I’ve ever had.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Our first child was with another doctor here in Santa Rosa Beach. Our 2nd and 3rd children were with Dr Esses. She was SO GOOD. There was never any question medically on what we needed to do.. she was informative and simply good at her job. Our last baby was a difficult circumstance where the baby had Trisomy 18 and was expected to not be compatible with life. She met with us regularly and demonstrated a heart of care and comfort. Leading up to the birth we felt informed and prepared as best as one could be. Thankfully we got to spend 7 hours with our baby boy after he was born before he slipped away to see his Maker. Jen and her team was with us the entire time. Never felt abandoned or uncared for. In all of our interactions, she demonstrated a proficiency and professionalism, coupled with care.

Horrible experience! Had a low blood platelet issue & was high risk patient. She treated it lightly. Was forced to deliver naturally due to low platelet count even though possible options exited. Nurse said I could have numbing meds but doc said no. About 10 hours later, I'm hemorrhaging & an having an emergency D&C due to a piece of placenta left behind. Very dangerous situation for me. I'm 6 mos postpartum & have yet to have follow up exam. Appt gets made but then they call to cancel

Dr. Esses has canceled two appointments for my family at the last minute and then wants us to wait for another 4 weeks. Horrible office and organization I would not recommend you waste your time.

Dr. Esses is friendly, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. I’m currently seeing her for baby number 2. She was my doctor for baby number 1. Some complications came up late in my pregnancy, but she made me feel at ease during a very stressful time. Delivery was perfect, and aftercare was good. I wouldn’t go to a different OBGYN.

This office is horrible! I can't believe they have any patients left after the way they treat people! They never return calls and after calling back the 2nd or 3rd time then they will finally call back sometimes 2 weeks later! Then when they do talk to you, they really have no answer or solution. They almost sound like they're just making stuff up. I am so disappointed that this is who I chose to deliver my last baby... this doctor and staff are very unprofessional and rude!

The staff is very unprofessional! I had a reaction to a medication prescribed. During the course of three phone calls the same information was asked & given about my symptoms with no answers. On the third call, it sounded as if I was put on speaker phone & prompted to answer the questions again while I could hear other staff members laughing & making remarks about my answers. I am going to have to go to another doctor to fix the side effects. I am disappointed & humiliated to say the least!

I was under the care of a midwife to have an out of hospital birth. Became high risk and needed to deliver at a hospital. Dr. Esses and the staff at Sacred Heart supported me fully in a natural birth, wireless monitoring and no IV or medications. Delayed clamping, keeping placenta and limited interference/interaction afterwards as requested. She worked really well with my midwife and courteous to her being there and involved.

I have had 3 pregnancies with Dr Esses - and over 10 years of regular exams - and have been very pleased! I had some scary symptoms with my last pregnancy - and she coached me through them and ensured that my baby and I were taken care of. One time I ended up in the ER for a possible TIA - and she met me at the hospital. .... When she found me in the waiting room still, she took charge and had me in a room being tested within minutes. She has always gone above and beyond for me! Love her!!
