Dr. Ellen Pastrano, MD

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Pastrano for about 10 years and, up until recently, I always appreciated her attentiveness and care. She was always thorough and made sure to address all my concerns. However, in the past couple of years, I’ve noticed a shift in her availability. She has repeatedly rescheduled or canceled my appointments, which has made it difficult to rely on her for timely care. As someone who works full-time, it’s been increasingly challenging to work around her changing schedule. It’s disappointing because she used to be such a great doctor, but lately, the scheduling issues have become a real inconvenience.

Went for my physical exam, had a sizeable lump on my body she did not notice on her own during exam. After I specifically pointed it out to her, she said she could see it and it was odd and she didnt know what it was so saw no reason for referral since it didnt hurt and wasnt bothering me. For months I did nothing because Dr Pastrani,my doctor whom i trusted, didnt seem concerned, but my spouse pestered me to go a different doctor to get another opinion. Good thing I did! Turns out it was a TUMOR! Even after i got an MRI done and the radiology report confirmed it was a TUMOR she never called me or checked in to see about my health or to help manage my care! Awful doctor who is incompetent, uncaring, and shouldnt be practicing medicine. She seems nice but God forbid you have an actual medical problem you are on your own!

I've been "cared" for by Dr. Pastrano since 2012. She has been consistently and profusely professional, thorough and compassionate. She builds sincere relationships and will give a patient a hug if they are having a bad day. She's a passionate patient advocate, which is hard to find in a doctor. Through the years, as I changed jobs, I made sure their insurance plans covers Sharp Rees and Dr. Pastrano. If I would describe the entire team, I would say they serve the patient with radical compassion.

Very personable, thorough and accomplished more in one visit than any doctor I have dealt with in the past 20 years. Her office staff was on, kind, personable and courteous. Great office, great staff... I am very impressed and feel confident in their care.
