He did not try to push surgery. He told me to do exercises and try to improve that way-I felt better.

First of all, I got there late cz the gps kept taking me round and round.I got there knowing I had to reschedule but they took me in.The front desk were amazing.The process was quick and smooth.I went back to see the doctor and he was so nice.Great place!!!

Excellent experience
My visit to Dr. Leitman was a great experience. Dr. Leitman took his time and explained the degree of my knee injury in terms that a layman could understand. The entire staff was polite and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Leitman, and First State Orthopedics.

Wonderful Experience!
The office personnel were very kind as well as the nurse and ex ray technician. Dr. Leitman listened to what we had to say and answered all of our questions. He was very personable, a character trait seldom found in many traits. We highly recommend the services offered by 1st State orthopedics.

Top notch care!
Dr Leitman is the best. He listens to your thoughts and concerns and develops a plan that will benefit you. He’ll push you to work hard to full recovery and still encourage you to give yourself time to heal when you are discouraged. He never makes you feel rushed and he always treats you like a person not a patient or an injury.

Foot Fracture
Office staff worked hard to coordinate an emergency visit so my urgent need was met. Dr. Leitman took time to understand my pain, review X-rays and develop treatment plan. Great communication !

Very satisfied Loved his bedside manner.
I was very afraid I had never hurt my knee. He made me feel comfortable even ask me about my elbow I injured in January 2024 and had me demonstrate my movement of it. I was pleased that he asked about it. This time I hurt my left knee on Saturday went to Christiana Care Sunday which they referred me back to Dr Johnson who didn't have anything available. Dr. Leitman made me feel so comfortable like we knew each other for years. He explained to me what was happening with my knee and what we needed to do to help it to feel better, he took fluid out. He gave me a new knee brace that has helped already it's much more comfortable than the one I got from Christiana Care. I feel better physically and mentally knowing my knee is in his hands. At Delaware Orthopedic each Doctor that I've met has been so kind and caring. Thanks
