Office staff needs to take some training courses on how to talk to patients with respect!

Dr. GOTTENGER RUINED MY LIFE!HE PERFORMED SURGERY ON ME, AND IT DID NOT GO WELL.HE LIED ABOUT THE LENGTH OF MY UTERERS AND GAVE ME A STOMA TOO LARGE FOR ANY UROSTOMY POUCHES. SHORTLY AFTER THE SURGERY MY BOWEL PROLAPSED AND WHEN I CALLED HIM, HE DID NOT WANT TO SEE THE DAMAGE HE'D DONE. HE JUST PUT HIS NURSE ON THE PHONE TO ASK, 'WHAT INSURANCE DID I HAVE?' THAT WAS SHORTLY AFTER HE LEFT THE VA AND STARTED TO PRACTICE AT YOUR UROLOGY! HE IS NO LONGRR THERE!THE DAMAGE HE DID TO ME RESULTING IN THE VA UPING MY DISABILITY RATING!EVERY DAY I THINK 'WHAT IF I HAD A BETTER DOCTOR?'

Dr. Gottenger has helped me enormously in my struggle with a frequent urethral stricture and resulting scarring. Recently he provided me with a novel minimally invasive procedure, Optilume (involves an anti-cell growth drug, paclitaxel, via a balloon). While results are too early to conclude, I appreciated the vision and pursuit of excellence, shown by this doctor.

I received a voice mail saying that Dr. Gottenger was ill and would not be able to keep the appointment that I had made a month ago. The next available appointments were 3 weeks in the future at times that didn't work for me. Her attitude was clearly 'You will have to adjust you life to fit what we have.' Unacceptable attitude that just lost them a patient.

HE WAS SMART, PATIENT AND LISTENED. WAS HAVING BLADDER ISSUES AND HE PATIENTLY LISTENED, ANSWERED ALL QUESTIONS AND NOW HAS ME ON MEDICATION THAT IS ACTUALLY HELPING ME WITH MY ISSUES. STAFF WAS DOWN TO EARTH AND KIND. SO GLAD I FOUND HIM!!!!

Don't know why anyone would say the ladies out front are rude. Everyone was polite, professional and friendly. Friend, the clinical manager was one of the nicest people I've ever met. Same goes for Dr Gottenger. He was very patient with me and explained everything in detail. I highly recommend him

Never had a visit because the ladies at the front desk are extremely rude. They told my husband he’d have to pay $200. He could be a great doctor, but we never found out. He even called the insurance while standing there and they told them he should only be paying a$45 co pay. They wouldn’t listen.We went somewhere else and everything else went smoothly.

He removed stones in my urinary bladder and trimmed my prostrate so now I can urinate with no problem. All this with no great pain as an outpatient.

I love Dr.Gottenger! He performed Greenlight prostate surgery on me, outcome was terrific, can now again urinate like when I was 20 years old (70 now). Very highly recommended, A+++ in my book.

Dr. Gottinger, is a top of the line urology doctor. This is not only my opinion, but of other doctors in the area, who send there patients to him. He did a surgery for me a few weeks ago, and cleared up the problem immediately. He has been my doctor for close to 10 years and I couldn't recommend him higher.

On May 5th, 2018, I went to the emergency room at Delray Medical Center with Kidney stones. I have been getting stones for 40 years. This episode was by far the worst I ever had. Dr. Gottenger took me right away into the OR, and removed the stones. My pain went from a 20 to 1. Dr. Gottenger was a god send. He was professional, friendly, very caring and attentive. However, he was a most skilled surgeon. His follow up care, was amazing. Strong recommendation!!!

I respect Dr. Gottenger greatly. I am a new patient of his and he is in a timely, systematc, and logical manner addressing my problems through building on information gathered through examination and testing. He is easy to talk to and he listens to me and my concerns. He is clear and straightforward in his explanations. In all my many years he is by far the best urologist I have had. My wife is also a patient of his and feels the same way as I do. In fact, it is she who recommended him to me!

Dr Gottenger and his staff are excellent. Dr Gottenger removed two large stones from my bladder and performed the Green Light laser technique on my prostrate. He restored my bladder function and gave me quality of life and I have had no bad side effects. I have been a patient of Dr Gottenger for several years and highly recommend him.

I went to Dr. Gottenger for the Rezum procedure on my prostate. He and his professional staff did a superb job. The procedure was much less painful that I had expected---more like a trip to the dentist than surgery. The procedure was successful.. As indicated in the ratings below, the office staff was totally professional and supported the entire experience.

Dr. Gottinger is extremely capable, knowledgeable and engaging. He's relaxed and takes the time necessary to explain and resolve any concerns. As a result, I feel comfortable discussing difficult and intimate issues. Finally, I will continue see Dr. Gottinger for my urological needs and enthusiastically refer him whenever a request is made.
