The Best
Dr A is a natural at his profession and delivers excellent care for his patients. I am so grateful to him and his staff for exceptional care during this journey. I am 10 days post op and feel better everyday!! I would recommend Dr A to anyone interested in gaining back their health!!

Life Changer!
Dr. A is the most amazing doctor I’ve ever met. He’s caring, patient but stern at the same time! I had surgery on 6-5-24 and I’m already down 30 pounds. He is so encouraging and wants everyone to meet their goal weight in a toned manner which I love. Thank you Dr. A!

BEST BARIATRIC DOCTOR IN TRISTATE AREA
Where do I start? Dr. A is the best. Not only did he motivate me from my very first appointment by showing me a little bit of tough love but he opened my eyes to see how much potential I have mentally and physically. When I met Dr. A I was almost 600lbs and would use Covid as an excuse to not lose weight. Since then I worked for a year to get to our agreed weight of 450lbs to get the gastric sleeve surgery. June 3rd I had my procedure and I have to say without a doubt I do not regret picking Dr. A as my doctor or having the procedure done. This man helped save my life for my wife and son. For that I am extremely thankful for Dr. A and his amazing team that helped me get my life back on track and for the future. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. A to anyone looking to have this procedure done.

The best surgeon Doctor
Telehealth
On May 24, 2022 , I made the best decision for my health to have surgery with the best Doctor and Surgeon Emeka J Acholonu. My life completely changed my diet, exercise, everything has changed for a new opportunity in my life. I have a lot of energy that I did not have years ago from 190 pounds to now it is 114 pounds and I continue for my health. I encourage you that if you can when one He himself proposes it for our health and I will continue to put more of my process to help motivate other people that it can be done.

Dr. Acholonu is excellent at what he does!
Dr. Acholonu is the best doctor I've ever had treat me. He is the epitome of professional and right upon meeting him it is evident that he is good at what he does and truly cares for his patients. That's saying something coming from a marginalized group (obese people) whose medical issues are often dismissed or inadequately treated. All of my options (for bariatric surgery) were discussed with me and a plan of care was mapped out in excellent detail. All of my questions have been more than adequately answered at each appointment and I've never felt rushed. I'm currently on the other side of a Sleeve Gastrectomy and most of my care team sang his praises during my hospital visit. I think my easy recovery and confidence in my own success are largely attributed to Dr. Acholonu's (and the larger Virtua bariatric program) care, expertise, skill, and respect for his patients.
