Terrible
He was rude and not compassionate. The staff at Carle were terrible. I would never recommend him.

I can walk pain free
After dealing with severe walking pain caused by bulging disc's, I finally broke down and went to a surgeon. I chose Dr. Nardone because he was highly referred. Boy, am I glad I did. Nothing major, just a 5 hour surgery fising 3 vertebrae and removing a disc replacing it with a cage. Walked pain-free that same afternoon. Thank you Dr. Nardone and his resident Dr. Gina. Fabulous job.

Forever Grateful
I chose Dr Nardone when I was referred to a back surgeon after failed epidurals. He came highly recommended by medical staff who had experienced working in the OR with him as well as several medical doctors. To say that he “gave me back my life” is an understatement. The relief from my pain was instantaneous! My need for pain medication is gone. I can do the things I loved again without the pain and I will be forever grateful to Dr Nardone. The office staff and nurses were all top notch. My MRI was reviewed and the cause of my pain explained. He was very open and honest about what could be done. No pressure to have surgery and explained my options. Was always very personable at my appointments & never rushed me. Have recommended him to several friends & family and will continue to do so. People seeing the results of my surgery is the best recommendation I could ever give! Thank you Dr Nardone!!

If this is the arrogant man that works in Charleston Illinois as well, I saw him last year and treated me like a dog. I’ve already had two back surgeries/fusion, cervical fusion, and my hands done. Still have herniations. He was more concerned saying” Why are you here now? Why didn’t you come to me the first time? You come here and want me to clean up someone else’s mess? Get off the pain meds. Your knees will stop hurting also. Bye” Then after he left, his nurses were apologizing for his action and he yelled her name to get me out. I’m a 40 yr old man. Guess what Doc? I gave up the pain meds after that and am getting worse everyday. If I had my pills that day I would’ve threw them at you. You’re no true Doctor. You’re not a nice man that probably came to our country for a good education to make good money. Why would people come see you if they don’t hurt? Learn compassion or get out! Wasted my time but you made your money. Most of his workers will even tell you he’s not a nice man.

My daughter had cervical surgery for bulging disc on a Frid She went home same day and began vomiting as reaction from anesthesia. COULDN'T contact this doctor for anything. Called the number on the instruction sheet, no answer, not even answering service. Called hospital to try to find him, the person with whom I spoke had no clue how to find him. Finally went to ER where they couldn't contact him. I started to wonder if this person was real. They finally reached his associate who prescribed anti-nausea meds. We returned to ER on Saturday and Sunday. Finally found him on Monday morning - she was still vomiting but it had finally lessened. I really think Dr. Nardone's ego was intimidated because I spoke to him in Italian. I think he felt it took away from his "mistique." How is it not to be able to find a doctor for 3 days??? I would not take my dog to him.

I have had 2 spinal stenosis surgeries with Dr. Nardone (2010 & 2019) . Both have been highly successful. I can't say enough about his skill as a surgeon. He is top notch. I have gone from barely being able to walk and lots of pain on both surguries and feel the skill level and office care has been coordinated and outstanding at the Neuro Science Clinci here in Bloomington.

I am an 83 year old male with Spinal Stenosis. For months my back was bothering me. I figured it was an age thing and I would have to live with it. But the thought of it getting worse scared me. Dr Nardone convinced me that sergury for my condition had a 95 percent success rate. Following surgery, I am pain free, and am so thankfull to Dr Nardone and his staff, who are the best there is.

Never took time to figure out where my back pain was actually coming from just Assumed it was a bulging disc NOW I have failed back surgery, herniated disc, severe spinal stenosis and am unable to walk without pain and after surgery missed a tiny piece of bone and didn't take time to figure out had a resident figure out why I was in extreme pain - had to have another four hour surgery to fix - hospital stay six days

My chiropractor recommended Dr. Nardone when he was no longer able to help me. Dr. Nardone took the time to show me my MRI, explained the complications of my situation, provided his recommendations and risks involved. The procedure we chose, he replaced 3 discs in my neck with cadaver and a metal plate was screwed in above and below discs to help the bones fuse together. Immediately headaches and my arm pain went away and within 2 months all pain was gone. Forever grateful for his healing gift

Dr Nardone did chiari malformation decompression surgery on me in Nov, 2016. The experience was very positive and I had a fabulous outcome. One thing that really impressed me was the day after surgery his resident saw me in the a.m. and said Dr Nardone would check on me that afternoon. That evening, the nurse came in my room with a phone and said Dr Nardone wanted to speak to me. He apologized, a surgery had gone long, but he wanted to make sure I was OK and asked if I had any questions.

I had been suffering from arm pain from a herniated disc in my neck for years after doing some checking I decided to see Dr. Nardone. He explained to me exactly what the MRI showed and even showed me on the MRI where the problem was. I decided to go ahead with the procedure. I'm so glad I did, the relief was immediate. I haven't felt this good in years. Dr. Nardone in my opinion is an expert. I can't thank him enough for giving me back my life!

When I found I had severe back issues, one requiring surgery, we chose Dr. Nardone. My wife has worked in the medical field for 37 years and would not consider anyone else for me but Dr. Nardone. His office staff, the hospital staff and Dr. Nardone were amazing! Dr. Nardone explains everything in detail and "tells it like it is". He listens. The surgery went extremely well. For post op I did exactly as he advised and began walking 1/2 mile the next day pain free. I highly recommend him!!

My husband had a procedure done. Operating room tech came to talk to me - no doctor. Proceeded to give me report in front of every one sitting around me...no privacy. Took several calls to schedule the procedure from primary care physician. Just received a recorded message in regards to follow up appointment.

Saw the old injury from years ago then ragged on me about my medications. Would not let me tell him that I had two recent falls in past 7 months or that I had gone through open heart surgery on the same medications. I was in so much pain I just didn't feel like arguing with him. I felt he showed me no respect or considered my extreme pain. I have been bedfast since the second fall. what angered me most is that he assumed he knew my condition and would not let me say anything but answer his ?
