Dr. Emily Essert, DO

Emily Essert is an excellent doctor. She listens attentively, takes the time to explain things thoroughly and gives me time to ask questions. She is prompt and provides exceptional care always. I am truly blessed to have her as my doctor.

Dr. Essert is an exceptional doctor in every way. She is exceptionally caring, has an extraordinary breadth of knowledge of all my issues, takes the time to listen and explain things in a simple and concise way, and always makes me feel like I am getting the best care imaginable. Given the number of patients she supports, I am continually amazed by her responsiveness to emails sent through the portal and the amount of time she spends whenever I visit. She is a gem, simply the best doctor I have had in my 70 plus years.

Dr. Essert is an unbelievably brilliant physician who is always on top of her game. She is very thorough and is able to listen to her patients and together establish an agreed upon plan. Dr. Essert is a provider who really cares about her patients and it shows through her compassion and professionalism. Best doctor ever !!

I have been seeing Dr. Essert for over 8 years. She is the most caring and knowledgeable Doctor I have ever been to. Dr Essert takes all the time you need to answer questions and include you in your own care. If you leave her a message or question on your patient portal, she gets back to you no later than 24 hours! Truly a Doctor who is second to none!

I have been extremely ill for over a year and was recently diagnosed with ulcerative colitis Crohn’s disease.On top of this diagnosis, I have been dealing with a decubitus ulcer on the left side of my bum. I have teen trying to work during this time and Dr. Essert, as well as her staff are a great reason I am still working. I enjoy working, but when I am off, and in the hospital numerous times since August 2023, I become depressed, crying all the time and feeling worthless.Dt. Essert and her staff’s thoughts and prayers got me through this last year when I really didn’t think I would make it. God bless them all.

My mother was a cheer leader for Emily Essert. That being said, she recently past and for the 3 weeks that she was in NCH Baker Hospital, Emily never reached out to my Father until I had to email and make calls. Not only was she unprofessional according to the oath that she took as a DOCTOR, her office called my father week after my mom passed reminding my mom of her upcoming visit. Seems like the right hand and left hand does not connect.That call was very upsetting and not even an apology.

could not get an appt was told no longer taking new patients for a long time yet on NCH web site and this one says she IS taking new patients. OK if not taking new patients I get it but the lady who answered the phone was very rude and hung up on me when I inquired. very very unprofessional
