I am trying to think of one redeeming, positive thing to say about Dr Quaidoo. And I seriously have nothing. We waited for an hour to be seen. He never apologized when he finally came in. He took a personal call in the middle of my appointment. He spent the majority of the time going through a checklist (which in and of itself wasn’t an issue) and shooting quick questions at me and then once I answered he spent the next minute and a half silently typing. And then on to the next question. He offered no commentary on my answers, and didn’t attempt to engage me or ask follow up questions. He couldn’t have appeared less interested in me. He answered almost none of my questions. In fact he seemed annoyed by most of them. He was condescending and not at all personable. He did not explain my condition to me at all, and did not offer treatment options except for medication. He gave no other suggestions for day to day care or things to look out for. This was incredibly disappointing and he was a terrible reflection on the field. I will not go back to see him and would never recommend him to anyone.

I just visited Dr. Quaidoo as a new patient after having a frustrating experience with a prior rheumatologist who I felt did not listen to me or take my concerns seriously. Dr. Quaidoo was amazingly patient and kind and asked many questions in an effort to fully understand my condition and concerns. He validated my concerns and offered solutions and options and explained these in a way that both made sense to me and where I felt like he was wanting to work with me as a partner rather than speeding though a visit, talking down, or just prescribing (my experience with prior provider). Also, every single person I interacted with in the office was patient kind and friendly as well.

Will Never Recommend
Dr. Quaidoo is impossible to get an appointment with. I called United Healthcare and insisted they take his name of the list of doctors accepting new patients. As an existing patient I have been unable to get to see him and will be filing a complaint with Rochester Regional! I last saw him in June of last year and they wouldn't make a 6 mo. appointment then. They told me to make one in a few months. Then when I tried to, I couldn't make one until April of this year which the doctor cancelled the next day. I now have a phone appointment with his assistant at the end of this month. I still don't even have a diagnosis for my condition so I don't see how a phone interview with an assistant is going to help me. He is the doctor and the expert. In addition, my BP was 190/90 (a hypertensive emergency)in his office last June and he never even commented on it. His assistant did. He brought brought me a health care proxy form to fill out in case I had a stroke I guess in the office.

Negligent. His secretary or nurse called my wife with a lupis diagnosis and a script. She wasn't able to answer any questions. Lupis affects people differently and the was ZERO info from his office. We're stuck with Google searches over the weekend. Not good.

I went to him with Sjogren's and a history of pancreatitis. He gave me the one medication that causes pancreatitis (Imuran) and I got acute pancreatitis. At a subsequent appointment he literally yelled at me because I wasn't responding to medications to the point that I was on tears. He then apologized, but the damage was done. He has no bedside manner and causes harm rather than helps.

I saw Dr Quaidoo 2 times. I have one major degenerative rheumatological condition in addition to fibromyalgia. The other condition is the more acurate dx and what is actively causing problems in my life. This condition is rare and severe and would require brushing up on. Not dr Quaidoo, he just went straight to treating me like a hypochondriac and decided not to look into the main condition and treat me for fibro only. He threw more than 4 rx at me. Don't bother if you are looking for respect.
