Dr. Enedina Berrones, MD

This psychiatrist was extremely difficult to work with. The VA has volumes of records for my mental health treatment throughout the years. After transferring my care from Chicago to Corpus Christi I was assigned to her. I had recently been through the most traumatic part of my life as my father had committed suicide and our town had been hit by a hurricane; having been treated for anxiety previously in my life I was seeking care. I had been prescribed benzodiazepines before and due to again having anxiety attacks; I asked to again be prescribed the same medication, for a short period of time, because it had helped me previously. She denied being able to see my previous prescription in my records (which I have paper copies of), and told me I was drug seeking. She abruptly stood up opened the door and made me leave her office. Her complete lack of compassion and denial of historical revelance for my asking to have my prescription re-prescribed was beyond unprofessional, it was cruel.
