Unprofessional
My doctor referred me to Mendez and I waited over two weeks for a call for an appointment and never received it. I called and was told he denied me and the woman I spoke with said she did not have the reason as to why I was denied because Mendez did not tell her. Called my insurance which is Blue Cross thinking maybe it was because he was not in my network but he WAS! Guess I will never know the reason but I’m glad I did not get in. From the reviews it seems he’s just a money hungry quack that likes to solve everything with pain meds!

Wish I could give him no star rating!
I was referred to Dr. Mendez by my doctor month ago and never received a call to set up an appt. I finally called today to see what the problem was. It took several tries to get ahold of someone, but when I did, I was told that Dr. Mendez denied the request. When I asked why, the woman told me she didn't know but that they weren't required to give an explanation. I later found it is was probably due to me having Medicare and he doesn't like Medicare patients. The only thing I can think of is that he doesn't make as much money with those on Medicare than he does with straight insurance. If that's the case, he is only out for the money. His office wasn't even going to call me to let me know that he denied me so that I could find another doctor. Definitely doesn't care about people in need of his type of medical services. STAY CLEAR!

Do NOT USE HIM
His staff is the most unprofessional there is. The wait time can be over 2 hours. His staff dismissed me because I informed them they infused me with the incorrect medication, complained when they cancelled my appointment after already arriving to the office that was an hour away. The doctor is ok but the staff is the absolute worse there is. I also have files a legitimate formal complaint with the La Board of Medical Examiners.

went to appt. today. I drive over an hour to see him. One of my kids took my mask out of vehicle. I went in for appt. and they wanted me to BUY a paper mask for $2.00 I would not and they said they had to reschedule me. Don't have an issue wearing a mask but I do have an issue with a DOCTORS OFFICE SELLING PAPER MASKS FOR $2.00. Will be looking for new doctor.

Dismissed me from his clinic with a bogus excuse. I DO NOT LIKE TO TAKE NARCOTICS. This is all he would prescribe me instead of treating my lupus and putting it in remission. Had an appointment June 26th and received no call informing me of being discharged. Was on my way to appt, got stuck in traffic, called clinic to inform them that I would be late, and was informed the the pharmacy board was involved and I was discharged from their clinic because I had multiple doctors prescribing medication.....well duh, I have a cardiologist, neurologist, rheumatologist, primary care physician. So of course I see multiple doctors. Plus told me I was an opiate risk. Dr. Mendez is the only doctor that prescribed me pain meds TWICE. Meds I didn't want to take. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE UNLESS YOU ARE DRUG SEEKING....

I'm a pt of Dr. Enrique Mendez >10yrs. He is 10/10, very knowledgeable of Specialty Diseases dealing with auto-immune systems, not just bone and joints. He's very patient and always makes time and slow down to answer all your questions. He doesn't rush through visits like most doctors. Even though he has a huge amount of pt's to care for. Even after your visit is over and you have more questions, he still makes the time for you. His nurse Kelsey is also patient and compassionate. She always has a smile and speaks to you with respect and comforts you with a smile, a hug or just kind words when you are at one of your bad days. Dr. Mendez and his front staff Courtney & Dalana as well as Office mgr. Tonya they have all been kind& patient every time, i have a visit. I realized it takes very special people to do what they do. I consider them all 2 be very special and love what they do. I am very thankful and appreciative of all the care I have received from all of them.I THANK GOD! 4 HIM!

I have been a patient of Dr. Mendez' for almost 5 years. He is very kind, understanding and helpful. His nursing staff are top notch, and the addition of a Nurse Practitioner has been beneficial to me personally. The office staff are very efficient and continue to strive to improve operations to help make the patient experience as pleasant as they can.

Dr.Mendez used to treat his patients with care and dignity. Now his practice is too large and appt are scheduled every 15 minutes, which is not enough time to evaluate your condition and concerns. It's all about the money now. Patients are expected to come in every month and see the doctor in order to pick-up a prescription for pain. I saw the doctor and had no exam of any kind. I expressed my concern over an inflammation I had for 2 weeks and all that was done was an observation.
