Dr. Enrique Zarate, MD

We chose Dr. Zarate from the jobs medical plan. He was close and convenient. He had just moved into new office. He was very observant very interested and concerned. My husband had gone to urgent care at Sutter and told he was severely anemic and blood count off. She was rude and acted as though whatever it was we were to blame. Instead of referring us to ER she said would could wait to see our new physician. Dr. Zarate had been scheduled for new patient a week or so later. He immediately made referrals to oncology and hemotology and the diagnosis was stomach cancer. We thank him as a primary who follows up and double checks bloodwork and vitals. Some physical limitations but wisdom and knowledge supercede. Thanks to him and his staff. We had a successful surgery and he has aided in discovering other blood disorders.

went in for hearing problem i had to get on my knees so he could check my ears. i think he's had a stroke because it seems like his left hand is useless the office staff never answer the phone

They denied seeing my elderly father. I had scheduled a new patient appointment for my father's hospital discharge about 3 weeks ago. They called one day before to cancel, the office supervisor states that they are not accepting new patients. So, then I call them back and attempt to schedule another new patient appointment and they initiated the process. I was angry by then and stated "so I thought you're not accepting new patients, so why was my father's appointment cancelled. she had NO EXPLANATION. I asked that the office supervisor call me back. as of now still no call. I will be filing a grievance with Medicare/Humana. this is terrible disservice to our elderly community. SHAME ON YOU DR ZARATE & your STAFF. this is beyond disgusting to say you treat our community this way.

Dr. Zarate saved my life by sending me to the cardiologist when he heard some abnormal heart sounds during an exam . I was later diagnosed with a clogged artery and had a stent placed in my right coronary artery , avoiding both any myocardial infarction ( heart damage ) and a heart attack .

Very unprofessional! When I made my appointment I had addressed that I was in pain so they made my appointment 2 days after and then the day of my appointment they called me about 2 hours before my appointment to cancel because the Doc was at a "conference" So I called back and they rescheduled my appointment 2 days after. And this time they called me about an hour before my appointment with the same reason that the doctor was not going to make it because he was at a conference. I had already requested those times off from work and not lost 2 hours of work because they told me to late! When I called back and asked why this keeps happening the lady was just rude to me and said well just go to a different doctor.
