I just wish they would answer their phones.
Dr. Chiang and his providers are helpful and very knowledgeable. I do enjoy seeing them- however- I may have to find a different provider solely on the fact that not one person answers a phone there, and I cannot get return phone calls. It is absolutely frustrating to try to make an appointment, change or cancel an appointment, or get a return phone call after leaving messages. It can lasts months, and if you don't live close by you cannot just stop-in.

God Complex
What I remember about Dr. Chaing was his arrogant attitude. He, definitely, does not have a compassionate nature. In his words, my hands were 'weird' and he could not help me. I am not a text book case and my RA has not been treated for over 16 years and my hands are a mess. A professional would have treated me with respect and refrained from using juvenile words. I needed a doctor that would help even if giving me another direction to look. He dismissed me and took the little hope I had left and shattered it. Based on my 10 minutes with Dr. Chaing, I would not recommend him based solely on his attitude and the unprofessional comments. Respect is a two way street but Dr. Chaing does not treat patients, at least in my case, with any respect or decency.

I Will Never Go Back to This Doctor Again!
Saw Dr. Chiang 3x and then fired him. I have a latent rheum condition that my family doc discovered on some blood work. He sent me to Dr. Chiang, as he said I needed to be evaluated by a rheum. I visited Dr. Chiang who imediately impressed me as a completely apethetic doctor who was in a rush to get you out of his office. He barely examined me & basically told to me that he was going to do more extensive blood work to see if it is effecting me beyond a simple positive result (or latency). I go back after the blood work to an again cold & apethic environment where he rushes me out telling me that I didn't test positive for anything else, that "maybe" I'll need medicine someday, & to come back in 6 months - with no further explanation of my condition. I went back in 6 months, as HE ordered, & when he walked in the exam room the first thing he very rudely said to me is "I told you you were negative for everything last time - what are you here for?". I found a MUCH better doc in SA.

There seems to be a lack of communication between the front office staff and the doctor, which unfortunately seems common with many medical practices. To some, putting up with this frustration is the only option in order to see the doctor they need. When I was a patient of Dr. Chiang, there seemed to always be issues with getting my refills filled as well as constant calls necessary to get medication approval from my insurance. Office wait time was always almost an hour to be seen by the doctor as well. I finally decided to not be a patient anymore when there was refusal to fill my medication until my next appt. Their reasoning was I hadn't been seen yet, however my next appointment was only days away but I had 0 pills left. They seemed to show no care for the fact that such a change would result in severe pain. I can't understand the reasoning behind not even offering a week's worth or days worth of meds until I could be seen. How is your full schedule something I should have to pay?

Very disappointed and dissatisfied with a complete breakdown in communication. You shouldn’t have an answering machine unless you return calls. Multiple issues and seems more concerned being the big fish in a little pond.

We are very disappointed in Dr. Chiang and his office staff. Kelly and Elizabeth are rude and unprofessional. My daughter is very ill and made an appointment and was told that they would make sure her records from her previous doctor were faxed over for Dr. Chiang's review before her appointment. My daughter called one week before her appointment to make sure they had received the records and was told they had not received her records and would not be able to see her. They told her it would be at least another month before she could be seen. Also they lied and said they never allowed a patient to make appointments. I am her Mother and have a doctorate and three master's degrees and have never heard such unprofessional, rude nonsense from a medical staff in my life. They lied to my daughter and to me. We have since made an appointment with another doctor, talked directly to that doctor who is incredulous at the callousness with which Dr. Chiang's office staff would treat a sick patient

I am so happy I finally found a doctor to listen to me and my concerns about my health. I have been seeing Dr Chaing for about 2 1/2 yrs now and he has always been able to answer my questions and explain to me so that I fully understand my options for treatment. His staff is very kind and helpful and always listens to any concerns and gets back to me in a timely manner. His new office is very welcoming and the location is easy to get to with great parking. Thank you Dr Chiang and staff.
