Rude, Unhelpful, Avoid him.
This doctor has an ego that actively prevents my father from receiving the best care. He continues to prescribe medicine that does not work and does not suggest new attempts to diagnose his problems and pain. He is not open to suggestions from other medical professionals and gets angry and swears at my dad when he attempts to bring other things to the table. Uncooperative and a terrible road block to his journey to proper diagnosis.

Dr Munn is a caring physician!
I’ve been a patient of Dr Munn for more than 5 years. He is caring and goes beyond rheumatology. He answers his own MyChart emails! He looks at all labs and reports even if he didn’t order them! He is calm and comforting when you are in pain or fearful. I am so glad I found him and I have recommended him to anyone looking for a very good rheumatologist.

Two Years No Answers
Repeatedly told by ER and primary doc saying it's autoimmune. Autoimmune runs in family. Exam & labs are ok. Sometimes Rheum labs showing positive ANA or inflammation. I've lost 2 years to fatigue and joint paint. No treatment, No diagnosis despite 2 annual exams & labs. Just no help, no answers, as I'm losing quality of life and years pass with pain increasing

Horrible mean person who either is not happy with his life or should not be a DR treating patients. My mom had 2 visits with this guy and was a waste of our time. Had no answers or suggestions told us to go see someone else. Mom has very severe pain due to osteoarthritis. Would never ever recommend this guy to anyone!

I've been seeing Dr. Munn ever since I was diagnosed with RH back in 2014. His treatment has always been solid for me and he's always super pleasant to me, even when I'm running late for appointments. It's not easy having RH, but I've responded well to his treatment and he always seems open minded about trying different approaches. I think he's a good guy, level-headed, and a solid professional.

The worst Dr. ever! Had a bad day, dismissed me and Dupage Medical Group backed him up. Very discriminatory. BEWARE! He needs to retire. When you can’t treat people well find something else to do. Didn’t even examine me and told me I was fine.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Munn?
Dr. Munn was the first rheumatologist I visited, and since my primary doctor did not issue a formal referral, he acted like I shouldn't have been there, but my insurance doesn't require formal referrals so that's why my Dr didn't submit one. The meeting was awkward and I felt like he didn't listen to the few things I said, nor did he provide ANY helpful information or advice other than the fact I needed more testing. When I asked him a specific question about a test he answered back with a rude remark. I'm not someone to leave low reviews out of spite - honestly he was incredibly rude and I would not recommend him to anyone.

I wrote above review in October 2018. I emailed as requested in the reply- never heard anything. I got in to a new rheumatologist and was diagnosed with Rheumatoid a Arthritis. Had Dr Munn cared to even run labs, I could have been diagnosed SIX MONTHS earlier.

Came in for issues with my hands. Never even looked at them. Felt dismissed and ignored. Not once did this Dr. make eye contact with me or even act the slightest bit concerned. Rushed in an out handed me a stack of tests and said go and get these done and we will notify you through the patient portal -- never returning - horrible experience - don't waste your time.

I have never felt more emotional anguish! He begin prescribing before even explaining my condition or prognosis. When I asked for a more information on my condition he aggressively heckled me and said in a hostile and antagonistic tone, "Do you need your hearing checked? I just told you, you have rheumatoid arthritis! Are you not listening?" I waited 3 months & drove 2 hours to see Dr. Munn because I'm afraid and worried about my health. Rather than showing sympathy & compassion he mocked me.

The worst Dr ever! I have been seeing a Rheumatologist for 13 years now and when I moved decided to go to him because he was closer to my home. He told me to stop taking them meds I'm on and take Aleve. When I questions that, he became very rude and dismissive. Told me I I don't have RA and have "pain syndrome". I have never experienced such rudeness from a physician before just because you ask him questions. If you hate people so much why the heck are you a Dr??

He was fine when I saw him at Amita and told me that he wants me to be my own advocate. When he moved to DMG, he was different. He didn't like to be asked questions and viewed it as my questioning him. I asked him if there was a way to not take Prednisone daily. He said to me, "I don't care what you read on the internet or what other patients say." I had a panic attack with crying and hyperventilating during my last appointment in May 2017 and he didn't care. No doctor appts since then.

Dr. Munn seemed unwilling to diagnose me, despite clinical signs and symptoms. I told him my pain and fatigue were unmanageable, but he was unwilling to suggest other treatment options (I'm not talking about opioids - I'm talking about DMARDs, etc). After seeing him for several years, he diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. He did not discuss this with me, explain it to me, or offer treatment options. I just saw he had added it to my chart.
