MD that will not care
Unfortunate that I did not feel listened to or heard or helped with complicated symptoms. No treatment plan offered and nobody cared. I am in the medical field and have some knowledge and know this is not proper patient treatment

Great Doctor
After 7 days of being told that my dads “seizures” (which were horrible), were due to a brain bleed that had stopped a week earlier, in about 15 minutes Dr. Pitts diagnosed my dads issue and his seizures stopped in less than 24 hours. Another Neurologist at Athens Piedmont had just told me that my dad’s prognosis was very poor and that they were not going to feed him again for the 5th day of Iv or regular nutrition. I highly recommend this Doctor. He seemed to sincerely care about my dads survival and health.

Dr. Eric Pitts is not only an excellent Neurologist, he is warm, caring, and follows through with what he says he will do. My husband and I both have the good fortune to have Dr. Pitts as our Neurologist. He carefully listens to our concerns and clearly explains his plan for needed tests and treatment. Dr. Pitts has earned our highest recommendation.

I had a complicated situation diagnosed by Dr Pitts and was left confused and upset after my appointment. I called his nurse to ask for a quick follow up phone conversation with him to ask some questions about my condition. After 3 calls the nurse was very embarrassed and explained that she does deliver the messages, but after a week of no return calls a consulted with another local Dr who shared my concerns and saw me THAT day. I was then sent on to Emory. I cannot recommend him.

My son had been suffering with nerve pain for weeks, and his oncologists kept telling him to just take tylenol. Finally, I took him to Dr. Pitts. The people in his office were helpful and friendly. Dr. Pitts immediately put his finger on the problem and promptly diagnosed my son with leukemia in the spinal fluid. His oncologists in Atlanta remarked that he is a very good neurologist. We were very impressed with his professionalism, empathy, and competence.

I am an older person with bad back problems and nerve damage as told to me by other doctors. Nerve openings going from spine is narrowing down and is damaging the nerves. Dr Pitts did not believe a word I told him unless proven by test. Ex: I said I didn't have diabetes. He didn't believe until the A1C came back then he was surprised. He got the 2010 MRI which showed the start of the damage but after 6 months still would not get my 2015 MRI which showed so much more. There is more to tell.
