Dr. Eric Schmit, DO

Since the start of my pregnancy all the way to postpartum he was amazing. We ended up being a high risk pregnancy with our first baby and he was very helpful and reassuring in all aspects. We ended up doing an induction and we went in on the start of his shift, we labored for 36hours and but that point he was off the clock and we were showing no signs of being ready to push. I was very scared of a c-section so when I finally ask for them to do it, the doctor on staff called Eric and he came right away to be able to deliver my baby (not the case normally the on staff doctor would deliver) every night of stay in the hospital the nurses would tell me that he would call to make sure I was okay! Very sweet and caring mam. We are so thankful to have had him as a doctors and are looking forward to seeing him again!

He is a compassionate and knowledgeable doctor. He is a good person too. I had a long journey with him as my doctor. He was very supportive and helpful through my fertility issues, my first miscarriage, and then prenatal care for my first child who was born in February 2023. Dr. Schmit helped my husband and I throughout our journey to becoming parents and we are forever thankful. I wish him the best in life!!

This doctor explained things to me in a patient way and made sure I was informed about the procedure I was getting. Their team did a very good job and the surgery was successful.

I've been seeing Dr. Schmit for almost a year--initially for some AB, and then for my severe PMDD symptoms. My symptoms have become progressively worse over the last couple of years, and Dr. Schmit has worked thoughtfully and diligently with me on solutions. Finding a physician who will take you seriously with PMDD is very rare--those health care providers are true unicorns. And though PMDD is often considered a mental health diagnosis, in severe cases it requires treatment by an obstetrician and sometimes an endocrinologist. I absolutely love Dr. Schmit. I am really forever grateful to him for all the kindness and effort he's put in caring for me as his patient and helping me to treat this debilitating condition.

I went to Dr. Schmit for my most recent pregnancy. He has amazing bedside manner. He always took the time to answer any questions and always made us feel at ease. He never once made us feel rushed or like he didn't have time to spend with us.

My appointment with Dr. Schmit was fantastic. I went in for my annual exam, and also to discuss switching my method of birth control. He listened patiently to my questions/concerns, and addressed each and every one of them. We discussed various forms of birth control that are available, some of them I hadn't even heard of, and we chose the best method for me. I loved that he was so down-to-earth; I never once felt like I was being lectured or like my concerns weren't valid. The actual exam was even as pleasant as it could be (e.g. professional, gentle, and efficient). Dr. Schmit has a phenomenal bedside manner, and he's able to educate and connect with his patients. It's obvious that he is committed to providing the best care possible. I've already recommended him to several friends and coworkers!

I was referred to Dr Schmit for an abnormal finding on a ultrasound. He took the time to explain everything and all of my options. I felt much better after talking to him, as he eased my worst fears. I ended up needing surgery and I never felt he pushed me that way, but I had options. Everything went great and I am pain free. From what the staff say, he is a very gifted surgeon. He for sure has a kind heart and is easy to talk to. I would strongly recommend anyone to him.
