Dr. Eric Shoemaker, DO

The main thing I like about Dr. Shoemaker is his skillful use of multiple treatments for my lumbar conditions and his cooperative approach to treatment. We have been able to work together to use physical therapy, anti-inflammatory meds, injections in the lumbar spine, over-the-counter meds, exercise, stretching, muscle relaxants and a very limited number of pain meds for when the pain gets severe. Over about 8 years we have built a good working relationship. He has done several injections in L3, L4, L5 areas which have helped a lot when the pain got worse. It gives me a lot of confidence that Dr. Shoemaker actually did the injections himself rather than deferring to an orthopedic surgeon. He is board certified in three specialties and he trained as a DO, which gives him a great perspective to be able to use whatever treatment works. If you have a complex condition I would highly recommend Dr. Shoemaker and his team.

My experiences with Dr Shoemaker have been nothing but positive. He is highly intelligent and skilled while also humble and approachable. He develops a plan and goes step by step in his approach to pain alleviation. It is easy to make appointments and both his front and back office staff are very friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.

Derogatory, unprofessional characteristics. Appeared unable to identify and understand his patients medical conditions. Disrespectful conduct: blaming patient for his personal inability to treat patient; disagrees with “highly educated” professionals in favor of his lack of understanding of diagnosis and their suggested treatment. Fails to respectively communicate with patient. Miss represents clinical findings to patient,.. fails to inform patient of discovered conditions - requiring further medical intervention. he demonstrated a willingness, to be emotionally abuses towards his patient, “appeared as a sick game” in order to dominate and control. This is my opinion based upon my Multiple interactions, your interaction “pray fully” will be different.

Dr. Eric Shoemaker is one of the finest doctor I ever have in my life. He is very humble and listens to all your problems carefully. Truly a gem, highly recommended.

No longer at pain clinic consultant, preform unnessary procedures. Lacked the basic understanding of spine nerve pain, treated one side of nerve block when both sides should have been blocked causing a second procedure. When crying in pain noticed assistant and making eye contact not saying much. Told by other clinic doctors,shoemaker made many mistakes on my chart, I am currently with held medication , prescription wasn't written down. Going to another clinic unprofessional discussions
