Emergency room visit
I went to the emergency room for strep throat. I was certain that’s what I had. I over heard the doctor and nurse talking in the hall to my room. Nothing he said was nice or professional. Very rude comments due to me being in there for something as simple as strep throat. Which you need antibiotics for! Did not feel welcome by him AT ALL!

The dentist sent me to the ER for a IV of antibiotics b/c of an infection that he didn't think he could control w oral antibiotics. Dr. Smith's attitude was dismissive, certainly of the dentist's recommendation. He had the nurse give me an injection of antibiotics and I never saw him again. No explanation of what to expect and no protocol for follow-up. The next day the pain was worse and the dentist sent me to Jackson ER. They gave me an IV of antibiotics at the fever broke at 10 pm.

Dr. Smith was very comforting and knowledgeable when it came to my medical needs! I went in with a very high blood pressure, that I was unable to bring down on my own after 4 days, he not only helped bring it down to a good state but did it quickly! He also helped with my severe panic attack brought on by 4 days of feeling well. He gave me something to calm me without me feeling drugged! From the time I arrived at Herrick, I was seen by Dr. Smith in under 10 minutes and treated and home in 1hr!
