Dr. Eric Swisher, MD

He’s been amazing helping me along with my TTC journey. He and his nurse Taylor always call back with answers to my questions and never feel dismissive with any of my worries. Very pleased with them thus far and have a lot of faith they will be great throughout pregnancy.

I would like to give an update on my previous review. Apparently, it was Dr. Wexler, not Dr. Swisher that reviewed my daughter’s request to be seen for bleeding at 11 weeks. Yesterday, my daughter’s water broke and she lost her beautiful baby boy at 16 weeks. If this practice had been willing to see my daughter when she first had complications they may have recognized that she needed a cervical cerclage and saved my beautiful grandson’s life. The “miscommunication” was blamed on a language barrier between the office staff and my daughter whose native language is English. Being that all patients in the US are entitled to free translation services, this is disheartening.

I love Dr. Swisher! He was the best OB I could have ever had during my first pregnancy, and I really mean that. He is so accommodating, and I love to see him! When I gave birth, I would get excited for him to come visit me. He is very personable. AND the most important thing is that he listens to his patients, he knows you know your body better than anyone else!

I first met him when he did my hysterectomy in 2018. When he moved away I was very sad, but he came back to Roanoke and I switched back to him. Love his bedside manner and thorough way of explaining things. Makes me feel completely at ease.

Very concerned and caring. Very easy to talk with. Even when delivering unpleasant news he conveyed compassion.

My cousin recommended him to me. I am so glad she did. He is very professional Explains diagnosis and what options are available, he let me vent my anxieties of having a historectomy. When I left after my visit he said call me and let me know what You want to do. After a week of prayer and reviewing options, I called and said ok, I want a full historectomy. I am so glad I chose that because my uterus was 3 times the size it should have been. I feel soooo much better now. Thank you Dr. Swisher

Excellent OB-GYN! Dr. Swisher is very intelligent, skilled and knowledgeable. I was very happy to find him during my last high-risk pregnancy. He astutely took care of me and my unborn baby throughout the pregnancy and delivered my healthy baby via VBAC. I was confident while under his care because I knew he could handle any curve balls.

I have never before felt the need to write a review about a phycisian but find it necessary in this case. Dr. Swisher was extremely moody. There were times I saw him throughout my pregnancy that he was accommodating and other times he was brash and quick and acted indifferent towards me and my questions. Ultimately it was exhausting trying to guess what he would be like on any given day. I’ve switched to a Dr. who is consistent and steady and trustworthy and would not recommend Dr. Swisher.
