Will absolutely recommend Dr. Yu.
Dr Yu's manner is very professional yet conversational. He took his time. He patiently described exactly what he would do and what I could expect. And, he was right! Waking up after a spinal turned out to be much easier and more pleasant than a general anesthetic. Hope to meet him again when I do the other knee.

Wonderful doctor, terrific human being!
Dr. Yu was my Anesthesiologist for a recent hip replacement. I arrived ready for surgery, but NOT a spinal block! (I had had a bit of a negative experience several years ago with a spinal block and did not want another.!). Dr. Yu sat and discussed 'general' v. spinal with me for around a half an hour. He was empathetic and factual. He did not try to persuade me but let me come to my own decision, assuring me that he would be with me during surgery every step of the way.I decided on a spinal and am so glad I did!!! The injection did not hurt my back and I was fully sedated for the entire procedure. What was the first face I saw, and first voice I heard as I awakened? Dr. Yu!Thank you for being so professional and empathetic, Dr. Yu! If I ever have to have another surgery, I would be blessed to have you as the Anesthesiologist once again!!!
