Surely a Skilled Neurologist, But Not a Fit for Me
While Dr. Arce is knowledgeable, I found our communication styles didn’t align. Before my consultation, I was asked if I was agreeable to having a patient advocate present. Initially, I thought this was silly, but after my visit, I understand why.As other reviewers suggested, Dr. Arce sometimes seemed aggravated, and his tone could be perceived as condescending. He interrupted me and sternly corrected me on multiple occasions. Additionally, it seemed he hadn’t reviewed my medical history, despite it being sent months prior.Despite these issues, the visit had some value, as Dr. Arce provided recommendations and next steps. However, I feel his approach may not suit patients who keep detailed notes, ask questions, and prefer collaborative communication.Lastly, when I canceled my follow-up appointment, the front desk's immediate declaration that my prescription would not be refilled felt more like a threat to maintaining my appointment than a genuine concern for my well-being.

Inattentive and Uncaring
I don’t want to appear ungrateful for the years of treatment I received from Dr. Arce, but I wish I had seen a different neurologist sooner. I’m grateful that Dr. Arce referred me to a more caring, knowledgeable specialist as my condition deteriorated. Dr. Arce didn’t answer questions about how often I should take the medication he prescribed to me. Dr. Arce once angrily accused me of lying to him (I didn’t). He doesn’t act like he has time to talk to you about your condition, and he doesn’t act like he wants to hear your questions. I wish he had given me the tools to take care of myself; I wish I had started seeing another doctor before my condition worsened. It’s hard to be chronically ill; it’s even harder to spend time working on your chronic illness with a doctor who isn’t kind and doesn’t want to help you.

Far and away the rudest Dr. I've had contact with
I agree with a lot of the reviews here that he is rude, condescending, arrogant, doesn't listen and I would stay far away from him. I found him completely unprofessional.

do not see this doctor , caused chronic condition
Dr Arce ordered a lumbar puncture to be done on me for vague tingly symptoms I was experiencing . He did nothing to re assure me , caused panic , did not tell me the risks of a spinal tap when asked several times . a week after the tap I got sudden horrible tinnitus that has yet to resolve a year later . He offered no help with this condition and took no accountability. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR

It was a huge mistake visiting Dr. Arce to seek neurological advice. This is not because he was unable to make an accurate assessment, but also because he twisted my narrative as a patient. He ballooned a minor issue and dismissed all major symptoms as not neurological in nature include headache, nausea, and dizziness. He was so fixated on a picture within his head about "confusion" and wrote his after-visit notes around it. He was very rude lacking any communication skills that could make his wrong assessment palatable. All I wanted to know if I my symptoms point to a potential stroke three days earlier. Nothing else. This doctor failed terribly to listen to the problem, understand the problem, analyze the problem, or come up with any reasonable outcome. Nothing! I only wasted my time and my insurance money to a useless doctor.

Not only was this doctor rude, but when I confronted him, he just mocked me. I took a day off of work for an appointment, he didn't listen to what I said, tried to put me on a med that has side effects I was concerned about, and didn't listen to that, but then mocked me when I told him he was being rude. His reviews seem to have this common theme, I don't care if he is a doctor or not, we pay for these services and no one has the right to be treated like this.

What a horribly rude doctor – Sep 01, 2021
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Arce?
Dr Arce was very rushed, although I made sure to show up early. He was aggravated when I didn't recognize the names of migraine medication and would cut me off when I'd try to explain my symptoms. He rushed through the appointment and left me with more questions than answers. I agree with a previous reviewer that his bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. However, his CNP Brenda Reese is very kind and takes her time to go over and discuss what's going on with your health. I personally will not book with Dr Arce again but I will see Brenda in the future.

My experience with Dr. Arce was terrible. Save your time and go somewhere else. I felt as he was talking down to me. If he explained something to me it was in a negative tone. He was upset because I asked about side effects of medication and asked me if I could afford it!!!! He needs bedside manner training.
