Dr. Erick Bournigal, MD

Very condescending, doesn’t listen, wants to give anxiety meds and talk about how you have a beautiful face and the body shape that a king would marry. Given so many diagnosis but none explained. He’s WEIRD!

Constantly Overbooks, makes you wait hours then sends in a PA. Cancelled on me before and rescheduled but when I called in with an emergency they wanted my credit card information to charge me a rebooking fee. Good Luck

I have been seeing Dr.Bounigal for about 7years now. I just don't know what to expect from him. He has a Dr.Jacob Mr. Hyde personality. He listens to who wants to listen too. He makes assumptions that's not true. I left his office feeling hopeless and defeated

I WAS VERY SICK DID NOT KNOW FROM WHAT HE DIAGNOSED ME CORRECTLY AND TX ME FOR 20 PLUS. HE IS PATIENT, KIND AND SPENDS ALOT OF TIME WITH YOU. I COULD NO LONGER MAKE IT TO BRUNSWICK BUT THE BEST PART OF MY LAST VISIT WAS HIS HUG MAN THAT MADE MY DAY.

I started out with his former partner, Dr. Boswell. When he retired Dr. Bournigal took my case. He has provided amazing care for me. I don't understand the bad reviews on here. It seems they are describing a different doctor. I get biological medication infusion in his office. He is always professional. He is very straight up on his opinion and I appreciate that. I would and have recommended him to family and friends. His staff is also very professional.

I have been a patient for nearly thirty years and trust him completely. He is caring and takes a personal interest in his patients. His expertise has proven other physicians in different fields incorrect.

Hands down the best! Kind caring & concerned. He listens even when he’s dictating. He has help me tremendously.

I’m a new patient as we just moved to the area. Prior to my appointment, I saw the reviews that were 60% - 5 star reviews and 40% - 1 star reviews. Which wasn’t very encouraging as the next closest rheumatologist in my insurance plan is 4 hours further away. He has a robust personality (which I like) he is friendly but direct. He examined and listened to me and then walked me through his thought process. We discussed modifying my medications. I liked him and his staff very much and am delighted I he is in my corner. I can’t wait for my follow up appointment.

Ive been being treated by Dr Bournigal since 2018 for RA I had great insurance and he treated me well and with the best meds, I went a couple of years without insurance and waited to get insurance again and when I did he says he can’t prescribe any medication for my RA, funny he did before… so did he lie the first time or this time???? He’s no longer my doctor

Do NOT see this doctor. I was seen by him once. He walked in the door without asking me any questions and diagnosed me. He told me that it may be a journey to find the right meds and promised to be with me though the whole time. I received a message from his nurse saying he will have to refer me out to a hospital 5 hours away. He gave no reason. I believe it is a money making office who does not care about patient care. ??????

Dr. Bournigal is one of the worst doctors I’ve ever seen. He diagnosed me as double jointed (I’m not), and told me “some people are just meant to be in pain, just like I’m not meant to be a hair model.” Turns out I have an autoimmune disorder causing my pain. Thanks Dr. Bournigal. Altogether, he just seems very arrogant and will literally “diagnose” you before even talking to you with no amount of additional information able to change his mind.

I stopped seeing Dr Bournigal when he took me off from my biologic medication stating that my previous Rheumatologist prescribed it only to make money, I am happily seeing a different Rheumatologist and she put me back on my medication, be aware that he talks bad bout other doctors which is unprofessional.

Of all the rheumatologists in GA, Dr. Bournigal is by far the BEST doctor I have seen. He has diagnosed me quickly and is managing my reduction of Prednisone that no other doctor would address. I have gone from a fatal dose to a relatively small dosage in 3 most time. He is very personable and takes all time needed for doc visit. LOVE THIS DOC!!! I have been a patient of Dr. Bornigal's for over ten years. He has been terrific in helping me to understand what RA is and how it can affect your body. He is gentle, very through in explanation, compassionate, and has a wonderful sense of humor which certainly has been good for me and he has helped me to save my mobility. I would not be where I am today, if it was not for him.

Very professional and eager to help me with my bursitis pain. Explained exercises for me to complete each day to build up my legs; along with the appropriate medicine. I will recommend Dr. Bournigal to others suffering with this kind of pain. Also, I appreciate that I do not have to wait hours to see him, like so many other doctors expect from their patients! This is very thoughtful, and a direct reflection that Dr. Bournigal and his staff are well organized.
