Poorly misdiagnosed and mismanaged.

He did a thorough exam. He gave me the blood numbers to take home.

Professional, polite and punctual.

He goes over everything thoroughly and understands my needs.

Dr. A listens and provides advice for issues I?ve been dealing with. His demeanour reminds me of a country doctor.

Once again I didn?t have an appointment with Dr. Arhelger this week.

Worst practitioner I have ever encountered. Zero concern or empathy. He was completely argumentative with no desire to help find the cause of symptoms. Showed extreme lack of knowledge in knowing how to read basic hormone labs.

The doctor was very friendly and efficient.

This was my first visit with the Doctor and he was very attentive and listened to my concerns and issues and was very informative and detailed with his explanation of each of my issues.

For last five years have attempted to have Dr. Arhelger address mental health issues with my husband. Was not acknowledged till last year. He asked for a follow up appointment 2 weeks later, at which time he didn't know why we were there for the appointment. Was unaware of the hand-delivered report from Hannah Strege, MSW, Optum Behavior Management and thus had not reviewed. At which point when he did acknowledge, was unsure about referrals. I immediately supplied him with the specialists we needed to go to for evaluation and diagnosis. My husband is well along into dementia by the time he was evaluated and will receive final diagnosis this coming Thursday, [omitted].

Dr. Arhelger was very calm and patient. He discussed possible treatment options and diagnosis?s before prescribing medications.

I feel he gives me time to discuss my needs and is clear when discussing a treatment plan.

Dr. Arhelger is kind and easy to speak with when I meet with him. One area of improvement would be for him to be more interested in what the patient is saying rather than worrying about checking the appropriate "box" in his system. As a Patient, I have 3-times more "medical issues" with Optum than I had with UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas where my primary physician practiced medicine. I feel like Optum is pushing too hard for "boxes" to be checked and not enough time conversing with the patient on how to "respond" to issues that I may have as a Patient. I suspect that this is "big medicine" pressing all the doctors in order to make sure no law-suits are filed against Optum.
