Dr. Nelson treats me with respect and is thoughtful about care the care he provides me. He listens to me and responds with questions to better understand and learn more, at times in order to help determine next steps re: treatment. He takes into consideration my medical conditions when determining treatment options and is thorough in researching risk-benefit analyses. He explains options with patience for my questions. Dr. Nelson has gone above and beyond for me more than once demonstrating his genuine care for my overall wellbeing. I’m grateful to have him on my care team.

I have been a patient of Dr. Nelson for many years now. He is one of my favorite doctors of all time! He is thorough, is great at troubleshooting problems with medications, and is always respectful and concerned. I don't usually like male doctors, especially male psychiatrists (have had so much experience with misogynistic and condescending psych docs both in the hospital and out), and most definitely Dr. Nelson is not like them at all. He is extremely busy all the time but will make time for his patient when they have difficult symptoms or an emergency. Cannot recommend Dr. Nelson enough.
