Dr. Erika Blanton, MD

Excellent physician with phenomenal expectations and ethics.

Went into labor in area outside of Henrico had myself discharged to drive to “my” doctor that I have been seeing my entire pregnancy to only be left in the hospital in labor for 2days where I was told she was not able to come over and her nurse had a cold. At their level of experience i, education, and one world think bedside manner they should know that is unacceptable. I wasted so much of my time thinking that I was building a relationship with my doctor and her staff to only be left for literally two days without Anyone from her office providing the hospital direction and or the impression that I had a doctor it completely change my opinion of the entire MEDICAL community of Henrico doctors.

Dr. Blanton was recommended by another ob/gyn in 1976 when I told him I wanted to deliver my baby via natural childbirth. Over the past 40+ years I have trusted her as much as I would a friend. She’s one of a kind, & I’m so blessed to have had her presence at the most important moments of my life.

I have been a patient of Dr. Blanton for the past 24 years. She was my doctor during the pregnancy and birth of now 21 year old daughter. She was with me during my treatment of breast cancer 9 years ago. She has been a great doctor to me and my sister and I will truly miss her.

I have 5 sisters and we all go to Dr. Blanton, as do all our friends. We highly recommend the practice, not only for Dr. Blanton’s exceptional care and listening to her patients but, the ease of getting appointments when needed, minimal office wait time, exceptionally friendly staff. From check-in to check-out it’s a pleasant experience - not cringe worthy as some of these office visits can be. I can say Dr. Blanton leaving will be sorely missed. She has endeared herself to her patients and while we know she has more than earned her retirement to do the things she loves most with the people she loves most, the Richmond community will mourn the loss of a true friend and Physician who lives by the oath. My only hope is others in/under her practice learned and live by the exceptionally high standard she has set. She is truly an example for all Physicians in practice and care. She will be sorely missed

Dr. Blanton is an excelente doctor, she answers all questions with a sincere respectful attitude. She makes u feel confortable at all times. The office staff is also very courteous and friendly.

I have been going to Dr. Blanton for 43 years, that says a lot. She is a wonderful doctor! Dr. Blanton always has time to listen and covers everything in your visit. I had my daughter with her care and some surgeries as well.

Very short time in waiting room and professional exam by Doctor Blantan which followed a discussion of my exam in her office. Always a pleasant yearly visit as usual.

Dr Blanton is a very knowledgeable doctor. She is also very understanding and compassionate. I was having a condition that I went to 7 doctors and no one could tell me what was wrong. I had a friend recommend me to Dr. Blanton and the first time I met her I broke down crying. She diagnosed my burning vulva pain as vulvodynia and gave me medication and I have been doing fine since then. I would defiantly recommend her. Her staff is also great and caring.

Dr. Blanton is always very warm and friendly and listens to what you have to say. Another thing I like about her is that she is very open and supportive of my decisions to choose some holistic methods of healthcare (like bio-identical hormone replacement therapy)

I have been Doctor Blanton's patient for many years, since my daughter was a baby and now is 20 years old. On my last visit, which was this week, she was professional and compassionate as always. I appreciate her taking time to listen and care for me. Her attention and care for the patient is unmeasurable. She asks personal questions to understand patient's way of living better in order to give appropriate advice. I have nothing but great admiration for doctor Blanton.
