Does not listen or help. Her way or highway
I was referred to Dr. Briggie for Hashimotos autoimmune hypothyroidism. The only thing she is willing to do is test my blood for thyroid hormone levels and prescribe medication. Hashimotos is an autoimmune disease that affects the entire body and I suffer from a myriad of other symptoms…all of which she tells me are “normal”. She told me if I have a problem with my weight she could refer me for gastric bypass surgery (NOT Helpful,or healing), along with other referral suggestions that have nothing to do with healing my autoimmune condition. When I began doing my own research I replaced my multi vitamin with all natural supplements (which helped me feel a bit better) and began asking questions about other paths we could take or tests we could do to get to the root causes of my symptoms or to minimize my flare ups she got a “my way or the highway” attitude and told me that if I am going to question her as a doctor then once I leave I am not welcome to come back.

Erin Briggie, an Internal Medicine doctor who personifies caring, delivers her best in all aspects of the finest medical practice for her patient charges, going out of her way with singular focus on caring for those, like me, who come into contact with her as patients. She's not just a good doctor, but a compassionate and earnest human being who goes out of her way to serve, even beyond the practice of medicine. She lives by her Hippocratic Oath in its original and elevated and takes it to a rarified level. Mike Borgstadt
