Biggest mistake of my life!!
Telehealth
start seeing Dr Erin a couple of years ago after Dr Sparks and Dr Harris retired. Initially, she was nice. This was my first time going to a female doctor. I expressed this to her. She made me feel comfortable. Fast forward to present. I saw her a couple months ago. We discussed the hormone medicine that I currently take. She asked me if I would like to try a gel form. That it was good and it would not put so much stress on my liver, even though I do not have any issue with my liver. I told her I would try it. I completed my pills before I started on the gel she recommended 2 weeks ago from today. The gel is not working. So, I called her office and asked them to have her call me in the hormone pills, since the gel is not working. I got a call back saying that she stated she would not put me back on the pills. This shocked me. The female stated that Minnie said it causes me to have high blood pressure. I advised the female that I had been on the pills way before I started seeing Minnie

An Exceptional Doctor!
I have used this practice for over 30 years. When Dr. Hall-Minnie joined the group, I felt assured that the excellent gynecologic care I have come to expect would be available to me for the next 30! Her academic credentials are superior, and her personality is warm, patient, and mature. Now, having benefitted from her medical opinion about several issues, I have total confidence in her advice. I would recommend her to my daughter.

Advocate for your patients
Sometimes it’s not what you say to a patient, it’s how you say it. I won’t be returning to her. I’ve been on a search for a new gyn since Dr. Sparks retired and decided to return to the practice to see her. Well, my blood pressure was elevated, as I tend to have WCH. Because of that, I wasn’t able to get my birth control. Because I’ve tried many birth controls in the past and I know what works for my body, she told me the options were to go somewhere else and see if someone else will give me a prescription or go to the health department. Mind you, I have excellent insurance so the fact that that was an option completely baffles me. As a healthcare provider, why not refer me to someone or attempt to get my blood pressure under control if that was the issue. As a black woman, with the way she made me feel, I would never want my life or any child I may carry life in her hands knowing she didn’t advocate for me today.
