I have had nothing but great experiences with Dr. Kil and the team at New Bloom Dermatology! New Bloom has accommodated me for next-day appointments twice now when I've had skin issues pop up suddenly. Dr. Kil is very efficient in identifying and communicating her diagnoses and treatment plans. She has a very balanced bedside manner, straightforward and professional, but also welcoming and conversational - at my most recent visit, she followed up on details about my acting career even after I hadn't been in to see her for nearly two years! The office itself is very clean and sleek and the entire staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. As a NYC transplant, I'm so grateful to have found such an awesome dermatologist here in the city!

Unnecessary and painful solution to easy problem. Asked to freeze small wart on face, but was offered laser treatment and cutting removal. Painful, unnecessary and leaves scar. Downplayed effectiveness of freezing method and did not describe in any detail the burning pain and scarring of laser and cutting method. Dr. Kil was not thinking of my well being when she dismissed my preferred method. She just wanted more money from insurance.

Dr. Kil pretended to be listening attentively, but gave no viable diagnosis or solutions. She seemed to dismiss my situation as being psychological or impossible to diagnose, so I should just keep treating the symptoms. However, she made no attempt to find an actual root cause or cure for what's going on with my body. I found her to lack compassion or any desire to actually help, instead just settling for doing the care minimum. Would not recommend.
