The worst doctor I have ever seen in my life.Rude, extremely rough handle me without telling me what she was doing. I have vertigo and she moved my head very quick back and forth while checking my skin . I would never go back to this women I would never recommend anyone to see her she is awful!!! It’s a shame she treats people like this. I can’t imagine an older person being handled the way she handled me. Terrible bedside manner

Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND
Possibly the most arrogant, obnoxious and disrespectful medical professional I have ever had the displeasure of working with in my 74 years on this planet.

Unprofessional and Rude
Brought my 80 year old friend for a follow up visit after he had a skin biopsy and several areas of frozen. The doc walked into the room, did not bother to explain the findings of the biopsy or what she intended to do during the visit. Without warning she froze his biopsy site again causing him to wince. She refused to answer any questions, talking over us, saying she was there to just do a follow up and walked out of the room. She was in the room less than two minutes.

I arrived late for an appointment, 4-6 minutes due to driving in heavy rain from Venice, Fla. I then waited another 4-6 minutes for an administrator. I was told that I was 3 minutes over the limit and turned away. She rescheduled but I doubt I will be returning to this rude office.

Disappointing
Office staff and phone staff are unprofessional, rude and incompetent. Dr. Long is bright but the body examination took about 3 seconds. How could she see skin problems unless cancer was the size of a dime? In my youth, I went to free clinics that showed more interest in their patients. Intercoastal is dreadful.

Two minute appointment
My annual appointment today lasted about two minutes. I was required to wear a mask. She came in and asked if I had any issues. I showed her a spot of concern on my hand and on my cheek. She treated both and said I should come back in 3 months for a follow up. I asked it she was going to examine me. She said no b/c she was very busy and didn't have time. she stated she would do a full exam in six weeks. I was taken aback since it took me six months to see her. Her exams usually take 10 minutes maximum since I have seen her for the last 5 years. Today I didn't even get to remove my mask. By the way I was out of her office by 10:05 for my 10:10 appointment. She flies into the exam room like a whirlwind and was gone before I could object. Time to find another dermatologist.

Scared doctor
She made me hold my breath to look at my face, because I had to remove my mask for her to complete that portion. She has done that for the last 2 appointments. Ridiculous.

Patient for years
I have seen Dr. Long through two Melanomas. While she has great skills as a dermatologist, I couldn’t put up with her rudeness, unprofessional discussion of others and terribly rude office staff one more minute.

I was a patient of Dr Long for several years. Saw her approx 12 to 15 times for skin checks and ongoing treatment of keratosis on my scalp and face. She never spent more than 3 or 4 minutes with me, often less than that. Always in a big hurry! She often froze several spots on my head, told me she ‘doesn’t get excited’ about keratosis’, and that ‘you can’t get them all’, and ‘come back in a year’. I often went back sooner because I had increasing numbers of spots. Last saw her in June 2021 because I had a spot that had been bleeding and was not healing well. She said it looked ok, prescribed some anti bacterial ointment to use if it bothered me, and hurried out of room. Spot continued not to heal and to bleed so I went to another dermatologist who did a biopsy. Results came back positive for squamous cell carcinoma. My new dermatologist performed mohs surgery to address the cancer and recommended other treatments for the ongoing keratosis. A world of difference in the attention given a

Dr. Long failed to clean the area that was frozen and failed to give me any additional information about post care. She did say if it was still there in six weeks to return for a biopsy, Now, four weeks later, I am on my second round of antibiotics with prescription ointment to try to get rid of the infection. Today a wound care doctor removed the dead tissue from the spot and I have to go back in two weeks for a follow up. So, I will have had four office visits visits with other physicians due to Dr Long. I would not recommend Dr. Long at all...she rushes and doesn’t hesitate to quote her prices to freeze things off tha the patient has to pay for, because she says the insurance won’t pay. I have had seen many doctors at Intercoastal Medical and all are kind and patient except Dr. Long.

Horrible. She talked about herself for quite a while and then tried to burn off a small inconsequential spot from my face with a wand, and scarcely missed my eye. She missed the spot, but left a minor scar. For some bizarre reason she then insisted on seeing my chest, actually pulling my shirt down herself. This was several years ago but I have never forgotten.

Extremely unpleasant experience and will never go back. On last visit I could hear doctor ranting to staff angrily about a patient who was a no-show—TOTALLY unprofessional—-and she was clearly still angry during my exam. Today I had a confirmed appointment (SO rude that v/m says “Dr Long uses 5 minute rule and anyone 5 minutes late will be asked to reschedule “ yet TODAY when I called to make sure appts were running on time, I was told she was not even in the office (!!!!!) and was rescheduling for June—-OMG why would anyone put up with this AND the rude incompetent office staff?? Move on—no patient should be treated so unprofessionally!

I never got a visit. I waited 3 months for an appointment. On the day of my appointment, the office called and said "Dr. Long is not seeing patients today." The problem is that they re-scheduled my appointment for 3 months from now. There was no reason given, no apology or attempt to see if I needed to see her urgently. The office did not care. Really? I can see a dermatologist in Canada faster! The good news is that there are great telemedicine visits available from dermatology on call. I did one and had a plan of treatment in 48 hours along with a much needed prescription. So sorry I waited this long to figure that out.
