I have been seeing Dr. Lai for over 10 years now. He's very thorough. It's sad that he will be retiring soon but I guess it's time for him.

The Best of the Best in Neurology
I couldn't believe anyone said anything negative about Dr.Lai--he's the best of the best in neurology. He took care of my quadriplegic critical care son with multiple seizure disorder and my quadriplegic father who had a degenerative neuropathy disorder from working in Dow chemical all his life. He had a special treatment for neuropathy that kept my father walking longer than he would have otherwise. He kept my son's seizures under control all his life when no other Dr. was able to. He always has had great concern and care. He's the best of the best in neurology. He's a brilliant man and you will see that if you use him.

Dr Lai was the attending when I was admitted and I have to say he was the most condescending doctor I have ever dealt with. He did not take the time to really listen to my issues and just kept saying he's been doing this for 40 years he's the expert. If you want a doctor that truly cares, fine someone other than Dr. Lao.

Dr. Lai pretty much saved my husband's life. He has early onset Parkinson's. After seeing different neurologists over many years, Dr. Lai was the first one to get his medications under control and ended up recommending my hisband for DBS surgery. He is very patient with my husband who can be difficult regarding treatment. So thankful for him.

I would not recommend anyone to Dr. Lai. I called for an appointment. The receptionist was rude and would not let me speak with the physician that he doesn't speak with patients. Why would one go to him if he doesn't speak with a patient.
