Dr. Evelyn Fleming, MD

I was referred to this doctor for a surgical procedure because I had adhesions that she was supposed to know how to deal with. She wanted to try this laparoscopically, but that at the FIRST SIGN OF TROUBLE she would stop and do open surgery. I had the surgery done and although I told the nurse that my abdominal pain was worsening, I was sent home. Two days later I was found unresponsive and in kidney failure and with urinary peritonitis. The doctors that treated me closer to my home told me later that they did not think that I would survive. Turns out, Dr. Fleming had put a hole in my bladder. Somehow I don't think that she stopped at the first sign of trouble if she punctured my bladder. I spent several days in the ICU in Lebanon, unable to communicate and being ignored by the nursing staff. I had encephalopathy as a result of this surgery, and I still have problems 10 months later. Dr. Fleming showed absolutely no concern for the nightmare I experienced. I could never recommend her.
