Dr. Evelyn Gonzalez-Ortiz, MD

Staff will NOT return calls after leaving MANY Messages and will not fill your medications with your pharmacy after leaving many requests to have a Medication refilled no matter what the medication is. You never get to speak to someone as you can ONLY leave messages. If you get upset with waiting and waiting to hear a call back or to get your medications appearing at the Pharmacy refilled you tend to start to leave more bold messages. Staff are very lazy. The pharmacy even sends staff prompts to have a refill but when I called my Pharmacy, they said the Staff does not respond to prompts sent by them. I am currently looking for another doctor's office. Evelyn Gonzales is a good doctor but she does not oversee her staff issues and her Staff is TERRIBLE! Staff Should be FIRED!! BEWARE OF ALL THE STRESS THE FRONT DESK STAFF WILL CAUSE YOU! GOOD LUCK TO YOU IF YOU GO THERE.

Dr. Gonzalez-Ortiz by far has been the best primary care physician I have visited since moving to Florida. She's very explicit when speaking to you about your health issues; very friendly, very detailed, very professional and most important, she listens to you with so much patience, and as a patient, this is one aspect of the visit that means a lot. I hope to be her patient for a long time.

Dr. Gonzalez had been my doctor in Crystal River for several years and I have always been very happy with her service. She always listened and explained everything. I miss her.

Excellent and Human Doctor

My husband is a diabetic. When I met him 3 yrs ago his blood sugar levels were extremely high! We started him on medication and monitored his levels but could never get it stable at normal levels until we chose to change his doctor. After visiting Dr. Gonzalez we were surprized, for the First time his levels were normal and have stayed normal since! Thanks to Dr. Gonzalez my husband is much better and will enjoy a much longer and heathier life. I would highly recommend her for any med need.

Very pleased with all aspects of this Dr./patient relationship. At 70 and experiencing many of the typical issues of those of us of the 'baby boomer' generation, I feel comfortable stating that Dr. Gonzalez-Ortiz is a unique caregiver whose first concern is her patient's well being and, most importantly, my fully appreciating all aspects and prognosis of the condition. (This Dr. is not a clock watcher, limiting you to one complaint or question as some I've encountered are apt to do). Thank You.

My husband is a new patient of Dr. Gonzalez-Ortiz. He is a DIEBETIC and his blood sugar levels are finally in normal range!!! For the past 2 yrs my husbands levels were always so high they were sky rocketing out of control !! His previous Doctor kept telling me not to worry, that everone was different.
