Dr. Evelyn Picker, MD

I can't put it better than Tina Turner. She truly is "simply the best." She makes me feel like I'm her only patient and definitely her #1 priority when I'm in the office. I always feel like she remembers me. I told her something about my son and she asked about him at the next visit. But more than just being personable and immediately putting you at ease, she is a keen listener and observer, she shares her thoughts, tells you what she thinks and why, what alternatives are and always follows up. The first time I saw her she diagnosed a problem that was blown off by other doctors for years. She is smart, caring, compassionate, non-judgmental. I'm not sure where she is now but if I find out, I'll be there! By the way whoever gave her a 1 star must be a fraud or have a grudge to bear or be a jealous competitor. I've referred many people and all have always always thanked me for the referral and referred others to her as well.

Dr. Picker always listened to my concerns and responded to each one. She always gave me her full attention and did not just stare at a computer screen. She made accurate diagnoses that others had missed but more than that, guided me through my treatment. She translated medical talk into language I could understand. She helped me problem solve if there was something I couldn't do. I've referred family and friends who always thank me for helping them find an exceptional physician. It was wonderful to have someone you really trusted and respected, and loved, as your doctor. I even continued to see her when she moved her practice and it would take me over an hour each way to see her. Doctors like Dr. Picker are rare and impossible to find. Thank you Dr. Picker

I had spent years finding the right doctor specializing in Internal Medicine. Before moving to the desert I'd had the same doctor for over 12 years and she was the best doctor I've ever gone to. I even commuted to another state for all my yearly check-ups, 2005-2016. Good thing I didn't experience anything seriously. I tried to connect with a new doctor in the desert but never felt comfortable until Evelyn Picker arrived. I couldn't believe it! She was everything I wanted in a physician and more. She was thorough, knowledgable, up to date on all my various medications, listened to me and heard me. Dr Picker is one of the most compassionate and empathetic doctors I've ever known. I wouldn't just recommend her to someone, I would drive them to her myself.
