Dr. Faiz Behsudi, MD

I had to get some stitches and Dr. Basudi was amazing. He was so funny, personable, asked a lot of questions, and made me feel so comfortable in his care. I highly recommend.

went into the ER because my throat has been very sore. I’ve been taking medicine, but it’s only gotten worse. I know i have some sort of respiratory infection because i’m coughing up lots of mucus. i was in a room waiting for almost 2 hours, had to ring the nurse and then he came in to take a look. he looked in my throat and listened to my breathing and told me i had some type of virus. he told me to take medicine and “let it run its course”. i wasn’t going to settle with that, so i asked if antibiotics would help. he said “100% they wouldn’t help”. well, i told him i’d like them anyways and the antibiotics are helping. i just think he’s only focused on getting people out of there, so he rushes. it’s quite ridiculous, i do not recommend going to Luray Memorial. the nurses are very nice and understanding, but you’re not going to get a real diagnosis and you’re going to be rushed out. He’s not very understanding either.

I have never had such a poor experience with a doctor. He was rude, impatient and condescending. Instead of offering clarity and making me feel at ease, he was vague and very abrupt with me. It seems that he did not like me asking questions. I was simply trying to figure what is going on and wanted to be in the know. In contrast, the rest if the staff and nurses were very friendly and helped me feel at ease and were super patient.
