Dr. Farayi Mbuvah, MD

Long story short, after getting thru the receptionist worried about what Tv show was on in the waiting room, consultation went fine, then the wheels blew off. Assoc. Cody lied to me about an insurance authorization, and when I caught him in his lie, he slammed the phone down on me….I then approached CMC mgmt. and they stuck up for his actions.

EVERYTHING about today's 1st visit was better than I expected. Dr. M took time listen carefully and ask pertinent questions. He explained exactly what the options are and answered every question. I couldn't feel any more optimistic, confident, or pleased with his knowledge and explanations. I feel so much more hopeful now that he's given me a clear plan of treatment.

I have seen many doctors through the pain management clinic that closed. He was the best hands down. So thankful for CMC for picking him up. My insurance covers visits like before and I know I am in great hands. He is not a bandaid doctor. He cares about your problems. His staff is also second to none! Thank you guys and gals for all you do!

After 3 months navigating through multiple health care providers I finally have hope of effective treatment for my knee and back pain, thanks to Dr. Mbuvah. He was very thorough in reviewing my health history and asked many questions about my current state. I am so used to overscheduled doctors blowing in and out of the room in 5 minutes that it took me by surprise the length of time and attention that Dr. Mbuvah gave to this visit. Looking forward to working with him towards recovery.

I used to see him, as needed for cervical steroid epidurals. I saw him at Elite Pain Mgt. I tried to make an appointment the other day and the place is closed and there's no additional information provided. I'm trying to locate this Dr. Where is he currently practicing? I'd prefer to see him again versus another Dr. He is awesome!

Dr Mbuvah took great care reviewing medical records, explaining treatment options and providing education about condition to both myself and my spouse. Very pleased to have him as a trusted member of my health care team. I would highly recommend.

I’ve recently moved to Myrtle Beach from NY, where I was treated for chronic lumbar pain for 18 years (following a botched laminectomy surgery). If you’re in need of a Pain Mgt. physician, look no further than Dr. Mbuvah at Elite PM and Recovery—keenly intelligent, kind, well-read and very well-trained. At age 70, and a tad frail now, I’ve seen the gamut of physicians, from the very best to the unconscionably bad; Dr. Mbuvah is unquestionably the cream if the crop…also, the Elite staff are friendly, savvy and professional. I couldn’t be more relieved to have found them.
