Dr. Farhat Shereen, MD

I made an appointment with Dr Shereen and after waiting months for an appointment she basically told me that the other 3 rheumatologists that I had seen in the previous 30 years (who all retired) were wrong and I did not have CTD, RA or Lupus, that I had fibromyalgia. She prescribed Cymbalta and told me to give it 3 or 4 weeks to work. And just suffer with the pain. After giving it 7 weeks to work and no improvement, I called the office to tell them. Still waiting for a call back. No explanation as to why by inflammation markers were so high and no further tests to determine a cause for the pain. I have found another doctor and will be moving on.

Dr. Shereen is a great doctor. She is knowledgeable on autoimmune disorders and how to treat them. She was very patient with my dad and takes the time to explain everything as best as possible. Some treatments may work for some but not others and in those cases, it is beyond her control. She is a doctor, not God. As far as some comments about her being rude, this could not be further from the truth. Her demeanor has been nothing but calm and very pleasant. Her staff is also pleasant, very supportive and personable. One thing that might be an irritant for any doctor (Dr. Shereen included) is when a patient has expectations of being healed as part of their treatment plan or asks the same question over and over. A treatment plan is just that, a plan for steps to treat a condition. Dr. Shereen makes sure patients are informed with info on all illnesses. She doesn't make false promises or claims to heal anyone. Our family is very happy with the care received from Dr. Shereen.

Very helpful in finding a diagnosis for me, even after thinking that I what I'm experiencing, isn't auto-immune related!

Terrible experience she seemed almost put out that I was even there for fibromyalgia she basically told me what she couldn’t do instead or trying to help me or even talk to me about it. I felt like I was treated as a drug seeker

TERRIBLE experience. This wad the absolute worst doctor i have EVER Been to in 53 years. Paid a co pay 50 mins later she walks in and without asking questions she says there's nothing she can do. She read my chart and then said that, no hi, bye or anything. This doctor should be BANNED from practicing..... please please don't waste your time.

I've been going to Dr. Shereen for 3 months now. She always takes her time to listen to me and is very caring. She did thorough blood work to help with my diagnosis of Lupus. I also have Fibro which she is helping me deal with. If you're having trouble with your doctor listening to you and digging to find out what your problem is, then I'd suggest trying Dr. Shereen.

Very nice. Takes the time to explain everything. Cares about her patients. Actually listens to your symptoms.
