Great Bedside Manner
Dr. Araghizadeh is a warm and compassionate surgeon and in my opinion, that is rare for a surgeon. He is considerate of your feelings and his nursing staff are the same. I am very grateful for the care I have received so far!

Horrible arrogantly stressed rushed doctor
I made an appt with Dr Araghizadeh and was under the impression it would just be to meet him for the procedure (consultation) since I already had the colonoscopy procedure done and was told I have 3 hemorrhoids. I arrived over 30 mins early as they asked to arrive 30 min prior to appt. I was there over 40 minutes waiting. I then go to the exam room to see the doctor. Dr Araghizadeh walks in and seemed kind at first but quick, asking me how he can help me. So I tell him my concern and he walks up and just walks out the exam room telling me let's check. I wasn't sure what he meant since he walked out. The nurse then walks in and tells me they're going to check and as I was expecting a gown or some linen to cover myself, the nurse just gets some type of procedure paper, opens it and tells me to just pull my pants down to my knees. I felt very uncomfortable since working at Kaiser Permanente as a Nurse myself had never prepped my pt in a manner that would make them feel uncomfortable.

The best!
My husband was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer in May of 2021. Dr. A recommended he enroll in the Signatera study and we believe he has saved him from having unnecessary surgery. Following his chemo and radiation, there was no cancer cells in the biopsy 6 weeks later and his Natera blood test was 0 (no cancer detected). Dr. A gave him the option of not having surgery -- and he is a surgeon!! He is currently 2 years out after strict follow up with Dr. A every 3 months for a sigmoidoscopy as well as MRI and Signatera blood test. He will now go every 6 months. We are so thankful he agreed with the more conservative approach! Of note: We had to get another opinion due to insurance changes and we were told by another surgeon he would have surgery (because that is the Gold Standard); therefore, removing his colon, rectum and anus and have a permanent colostomy. Needless to say we we ended up back with Dr. A!!!

Fat shamer
Husband had surgery. This surgeon just came out to talk to me in front of everyone in the waiting room…..He said everything went fine but your husband needs to lose a significant amount of weight and needs to make better choices because he is obese and isn’t making good life choices and you mam need to talk to him!!! Obviously this was not the time nor the place for this type of discussion…. He could have addressed his concerns in a follow up apt. My husband is 230# and was having a small tumor in his rectum removed. He is arrogant and clearly doesn’t like overweight people. So if you’re a bit overweight steer clear or you will be fat shamed!!

I had 12 inches of colon removed, my appendix taken out and a hernia fixed. I was in the hospital 30 hours in the hospital which would normally take 3-5 days, I was back at my desk job in 5 days! I can not recommend Dr. A enough! He is a miracle surgeon!

Due to built up scar tissue, I was finally in need of another resection after having had my last one ~25 years ago. I spoke with multiple healthcare professionals (including surgeons) about the advancements made in colorectal surgery, and felt comfortable with the approach Dr. Araghizadeh decided to take, which was specific to my situation (not just using the latest tech.) He also spent the time to not only answer my questions about the procedure itself, but even answer questions I asked with respect to why he chose colorectal surgical care. I also appreciate his expectations of very specific post-op care, which is patient-centric and all about the best recovery for the individual. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing colorectal surgery.

Dr. Araghizadeh is a fabulous surgeon! He performed a bowel resection on me recently and I was so surprised at how easy the recovery was. He explained everything up front and answered all of my questions prior to the procedure. The hospital he uses - Medical City Alliance - was wonderful as well. I could not have had a better outcome and I owe all of that to my wonderful surgeon. If you or anyone you know needs colorectal surgery, Dr. Araghizadeh is highly recommended!
