Narcissistic doctor
Dr. Fatma Akmese is an extremely patronizing biased individual who uses prior and family history against you and places her own personal beliefs above what is best for her patients. If you as the patient advocate and stick up for yourself or explain what you think will work for you she’ll medically gaslight you and assumes she knows better. I had sent multiple mycare messages that she ignored and waited months before this appointment just to to be disregarded. I tried different meds she requested as well as meds prior to her for years and after failed attempts I asked to trial a low dose of a controlled medication for a diagnosis I’ve had in the past and she refused to even consider it, was rude and cut me off in the middle of talking, sarcastic dismissing any valid points I made and told me I had an attitude and was disrespectful and that I only wanted what I wanted all because i questioned her beliefs and stuck up for myself. She can’t navigate from a suboxone doctor to a primary.

Dr Akmese is wonderful doctor. She is very detail and serious but the nurse and the team I don't believe how they coordinate with patient. I have an back issue and called to see if I can see doctor. I talked with nurse, she told there is no available time for today, I explained very clearly that I having pain and I need to see Doctor. I might need x-ray. She told me I can take pain medicine from over the counter. And said I will let doctor know, and somebody will give me a call. I wait for the call never received and call back in two week. Unfortunately have to talked with same nurse, same advice.

Dr. Akmese is wonderful! I immediately felt at ease with her demeanor and was impressed with by her wealth of knowledge. Fatma's PA, Mayra along with her nurse assistant Kayla are both so personable and caring I wouldn't dream of changing practices.
