Dr. Felicitas Koster, MD

Dr. Köster accompanied me on my journey to recovery for over 5 important years! Dr. Köster is compassionate and empathetic. She shows genuine concern and solicitude for her patients. She has a friendly and upbeat demeanor and her tone of voice is pleasant. She has a very incisive wit and can see deeply into our hearts in terms of the conditions that she diagnoses and treats. Dr. Köster is reliable and consistent. Most all her appointments were conducted exactly by the same checklist as she went through her questions, but she never omitted space for the patient to ask her questions or raise concerns. She always gave us the fullest time possible, and never cut a visit short. Dr. Köster specializes in forensic psychiatry, an extremely challenging field, and working with the SMI population can be frustrating or thankless, but she maintained an unpreturbable serenity no matter what went on that day in the clinic. I consider Dr. Köster an ally and partner in my journey, whether my conditions got worse or better or didn't change, she was always looking out for best interests and community safety. During those 5 years of treatment we were able to forge bonds of trust and confidence like never before. I am SO THANKFUL she came into my life, and I sincerely miss her now that we've both moved on in 2024.
