To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding the unacceptable treatment I received at Dr. Felix’s office. My experience was deeply troubling and has prompted me to report the practice to both my health insurance provider and the appropriate medical and regulatory authorities, including the Board of Health. The appointment was scheduled via a three-way call with my insurance provider, during which the office confirmed they would see me, treat my condition, and provide a referral, as long as I presented a valid reference number. Upon arrival, I was seeking treatment for a painful, persistent double ear infection that had gone untreated for nearly two months. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff treated me with visible disdain. They expressed frustration when I chose not to sign HIPAA release forms unrelated to my visit and questioned why I did not require lab work—despite my visit being solely for an ear infection. Communication was a major issue, as none of the staff seemed to speak English fluently. I was forced to repeat myself multiple times, and staff struggled to articulate even basic medical questions. Furthermore, I was spoken to with condescension and overheard being discussed in Spanish in a clearly negative manner. I also noted that the address provided to me by the office was incorrect. When I mentioned this, the front desk accused me of lying, despite the original conversation being recorded by my insurance provider. Once I was seen by Dr. Felix, he immediately made an inappropriate and unsolicited comment about my weight. I want to emphasize that I exercise regularly, am in good health, and had a complete physical examination just weeks prior that confirmed this. I asked for a refill of a long-term medication I have been on for over 12 years—prescribed to manage a chronic condition—and was abruptly told it was “killing my liver,” despite the doctor not reviewing any lab work or my medical history. My previous provider had confirmed my liver function is entirely normal. After much insistence, Dr. Felix reluctantly prescribed antibiotics for my ear infection. However, shortly after, the office staff informed me they were canceling everything, refusing to treat me further, or issue a referral. Despite my insurance confirming on the phone that Dr. Felix was listed as my primary care provider, the office insisted otherwise. I requested the office information to report the incident, and was then rushed out by staff and told the police would be called if I did not leave immediately—despite not engaging in any threatening behavior. I was in severe pain and frustrated, and in a moment of distress, I picked up and tossed an empty hand sanitizer bottle before exiting. Since this incident, I have been subjected to online harassment and defamatory statements from the office staff, including being publicly labeled a “pending criminal” on Facebook—an entirely false and slanderous accusation. Additionally, I have since received an email from the office instructing me to remove them as my PCP, which contradicts their original commitment and further supports my claim of dishonesty and neglect. I am a single mother, fully insured, simply trying to receive proper medical care. I have no criminal record and have not had so much as a parking violation in nearly two decades. I believe I was treated with extreme prejudice, unprofessionalism, and negligence—possibly due to language barriers and discrimination. I am requesting a full investigation into the conduct of Dr. Felix and his staff. I strongly believe this office has failed to meet the standards of patient care, ethics, and communication required of a healthcare provider. No one should be subjected to such treatment when seeking medical attention.

Dr is never there, misleads patients
Dr Labrada is rarely there, so they pass patients off to the nurse practitioner, whom the staff call 'Dr', which is incredibly misleading because the nurse practitioner does not have an MD license in the US. I called to make an appointment and they kept referring to the nurse as the Dr. Additionally, getting a referral authorization to be seen by an external specialist from this place is a nightmare. You have to call them 3-5 times to make sure it goes through, if not show up in person. You can tell the Dr is more in this business for profit (markets fillers and elective dermatology procedures all over his office) when he is a meant to be a general practitioner caring primarily for geriatric populations.

Operated by registered Nurses -Dr is not there
First, this location is operated by registered nurses who introduce themselves as doctors. Like Rojas introduced himself as doctor and he is a registered nurse. Dr. Labrada who is the only Dr at this location comes only some Thursdays and only sees Medicare patients whatever that means. I’m not sure if that’s a scam but people think they see a regular Dr and they see nurses.

I would never recommend to anyone.
He’s rude, not professional and doesn’t listen. When you try to tell him anything he cuts you off. Says he will send a prescription but never does. Don’t waste your time, he’s so full of himself.

Excellent Doctor
I was looking for a while, a primary doctor who did not have harmful odors in his office, because I have respiratory problems. I found Dr. Felix Rodriguez Labrada, and his office is very nice, it has no harmful odors. The staff that assists the patient is young, super nice, and the doctor is excellent, he takes his time to explain everything related to my health. He is a young doctor, with excellent communication with the patient, with experience and super friendly . I recommend it 100%

below average primary care experience, below average bedside manner compared to peers, would not recommend. there are several above average primary care doctors at memorial hospital right up the street. would advise you to go there instead.

Exellent experience, i was in his office as a new patient and what I really like about this doctor, besides how he cares and listens, is the way he treated me and all his patients with an smile in his face. He is a unique doctor, and when I said he cares is because he really cares for his patients, especially when he called me to check how I was feelijng and if I needed any other medication refills before the HOLIDAYS. HE IS AN EXTRAORDINARY DOCTOR and will not change him for any other doctor.

Very bad experience with this doctor on my first appointment. He came in smiling and asked the usual HMO questions about tests. He never touched me or looked at me to see if I had any medical issues. This nothing exam took less than 10 minutes. I told him about a recent surgery and difficulty walking. He tells me to speak to surgeon. I told him the surgeon told me to speak to my Internist. Obviously, he treats PPO patients better.

Dr. Ramirez saw me on incredibly short notice. I was new to him, although a long-term patient at Personal Physician Care. His only concern was my health. He was thorough, with a kind and calm personality. His diagnosis was perfect, the treatment successful, Today, I feel great! Now, I have even more confidence that there is an excellent choice of doctors at this location, and wouldn't ever consider going anywhere else!

Don't go to any doctor in this facility. 1. The doctor's advice is terrible. They don't know what is actually wrong and just want you to keep coming back for more tests. 2. The clerks at the desk are useless. Even after "looking something up" in the computer, I still get charged for things supposedly covered.
