Dr. Urthaler is the most compassionate, caring physician I have ever met. I requested Dr.Urthaler to do my recent Stress Test after having an abnormal EKG. He preformed my test 2 years earlier and I was so impressed with his knowledge and kindness that I knew I wanted him to perform my recent test. He is outstanding ! He is a true asset to the cardiology department! I am grateful to be his patient! His staff have only admiration for his compassion and attention he gives to every patient.

He was the MD that was observing a Stress Test being given to my 11 year old daughter, who has been diagnosed with Dysautonomia with exercise intolerance. Our Pediatric Cardo doctor sent her over to UAB for stress test and I could not have been happier with Dr. Urthaler and the way he treated my scared daughter, not really understanding what she was being asked to do. He was very knowledgeable and caring with us as her parents, but really answered her questions also. I would highly recommend!
