Dr. Ferheen Shamim, MD

Dr. Shamim is an excellent, kind and calm doctor. She eases my worries, as I am someone who gets very nervous, and do not go to Dr’s often. She is intelligent and I appreciate the time she spends with my wife and I, during our appointments. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Shamim displays attributes that you can barely find in a doctor lately. She takes her time to listen to your concerns, explains in detail what you have; and offers different options to explore. She is also kind and caring. I highly recommend Dr. Shamim.

Dr Shamim is an outstanding physician. I highly recommend her. She's performed a number of succesful procedures on my bad back and most recently a minimally evasive Tenex procedure on my shoulder/ torn rotator cup. I have also had physical therapy at her Englewood, NJ office. As they say, getting old is not for the faint of heart... at least as it relates to my chronic pain issues. Dr. Shamim's intervention and guidance has gone a long way toward greatly reducing my chronic pain. She cares about me and my health.

I visited Dr. Shamim to evaluate a knee issue. She found a meniscus tear/cyst via ultrasound. This confirmed a surgery was required. I was looking for an alternative to surgery. She could not provide a treatment at this stage besides surgery due to the nature of my injury. Even though she could not help me, she spent about 15-20 minutes answering all my questions and explained future treatments I may want to pursue at later date. Dr. Shamim was kind, informative and her passion was easily recognized in the way she presented herself.

Dr. Shamim is caring, professional and explains everything completely. I would highly recommend her. I used her for cortisone shots in both my hips and am very satisfied.

Horrible experience. I did a PRP procedure on left shoulder with Dr. Shamim. The recovery was terrible and the shoulder never healed 100 percent. I was told I could not do the procedure without PRP and was told the procedure was not covered by insurance so I paid $995 out of pocket. Four months later I did same procedure on right shoulder without PRP with a different doctor. The procedure was covered by insurance as there was no PRP. That recovery was significantly shorter and shoulder has no pain. When I called to talk to Dr. Shamim office about all of this, the office was not helpful at all and after speaking to 5 different people about it, I gave up and decided to post this review.

Dr Shamim was compassionate and thorough. What a great experience!!! The result of the hip injection was exceptional. It’s been a month since the injection and I can easily get up steps. Dr. shamim is a genius and a lovely lady. I highly recommend her. 2/11/21

Dr Shamim is awesome. She explains everything in detail, listens to all of your concerns and tells it like it is. I keep telling everyone about the Tenex procedure i received on my shoulder and how quickly it relieved my pain. Dr Shamim is amazing.
